Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Jerusalem
A driver meets you at Ben Gurion Airport with a limousine and takes you directly to your hotel in Jerusalem. You'll have the rest of the day to settle in for your overnight stay.
- Day 2
Jerusalem Old City and New City
After breakfast at your hotel, you and your guide head into Jerusalem's Old City and New City. You'll walk through the Old City and Jewish Quarter to reach the Wailing Wall, then continue on to Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. In the afternoon, your driver takes you through the new city where you can see the Knesset and other points of interest around the city.

Mount of Olives, Mount Zion, and City of David
Your guide drives you along Kidron Valley to see the Mount of Olives and its Jewish cemetery, then you visit the Tomb of David on Mount Zion. From there you tour the Byzantine Cardo and walk past King Hezekiah's 2000-year-old wall. You descend to explore ancient homes that still have their original mosaic floors and mikvah before exiting through Dung Gate to see the City of David excavations.

Beit Shan, Jordan Valley, Golan Heights, and Katzerin
Starting after breakfast, you travel to Beit Shan to see modern homes built directly over ancient ones, including a restored bath house and a functioning theatre. Your driver heads north through the Jordan Valley toward the Sea of Galilee, then ascends the Golan Heights. You'll tour a Roman spa and visit Shalom Observatory, explore Katzerin's restored village from the Mishnah and Talmud period with its museum, and finish at Mount Bental to see Syrian fortifications from the Six Day War.

Kibbutz Tour, Banias, Golan Heights, and Safed
The day starts with a tour of the kibbutz, then you drive north to Banias to explore a hilltop fortress. After stopping at Birkat Yam, a large spring-fed lake, you leave the Golan Heights and head for Safed, the city known for Kabbalah study. You'll tour the synagogues dedicated to Josef Caro and the Ari, wander through the Old City and the artists' quarter.

Caesarea, Haifa, Rosh Hanikra, and Acre
After breakfast, you drive past Herzliya and Natania to reach Caesarea and tour the Roman city that Herod built, including the theatre, hippodrome, and temple remains. Later you continue to Haifa to visit the Baha'i gardens and shrine, then head north to Rosh Hanikra for a cable car ride down to the grottos. You finish the day in Acre exploring Crusader city remains and the Turkish prison.

Tiberias, Mount Meron, and Sage Tombs
You drive north to Tiberias, a first-century city with many archaeological remains. Your guide takes you to the graves of prominent sages including Rabbi Baal Hanes, Rabbi Meir, and Rabbi Akiva, and you walk through the old city to visit the Synagogue of Ari Hakadosh and Rabbi Isaac Luria. Then you continue to Mount Meron, where you see Rabbi Akiva's tomb and synagogue at the site of the annual Lag Baomer pilgrimage.

Masada, Dead Sea, and Qumran Caves
Heading toward the Dead Sea, you stop at the sea level marker for photos, then take a cable car to the top of Masada. You tour the bath house, Roman barracks, palaces, synagogue, and other structures up there. After descending, you explore the Qumran caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, check into your hotel, and have time for a swim in the Dead Sea.

Dead Sea Spa and Transfer to Tel Aviv
The morning is yours to spend at the Dead Sea Spa. You can take a mud bath, arrange a massage (at additional cost), or simply relax on the beach. Late in the afternoon, you'll get a transfer to Tel Aviv where you'll check into your hotel.
