Pamela· October 6th, 2023The fast train was great with space on the shelves above to store our luggage. Both hotels on the tour at Sorrento and Amalfi were really nice and included a generous breakfast. Our guide at Pompeii was very knowledgeable and the boat trip around the island of Capri was very enjoyable. We particularly liked our time in Amalfi, where our hotel balcony overlooked the busy Marina. However, we deliberately booked a small group tour, and while we were aware that it was only partially guided, we felt there was a definite lack of commitment to our group of 10. None of the many Tour Leaders properly introduced themselves, asked our names, or addressed us by name. Mostly they were focused on completing their component of the itinerary. In addition, our many different drivers provided little or no commentary. Overall, there was no plan for food & toilet breaks and a lack of care and consideration for our group needs. On day 1, we travelled from Rome by fast train to Naples, then to Pompeii and on to our hotel in Sorrento. Toilet breaks at the station were discouraged and the itinerary did not allow for a meal break. It wasn’t until 2:30 pm at our hotel that we were able to have lunch. On day 2 we had a trip to Capri. Our departure was delayed by an hour, apparently because of rough seas, then our driver was an hour late picking us up. We were hustled from one group leader to another, and at times we were combined with a group in excess of 50 people, and at other times joined groups not much smaller. There was a lot of queuing and waiting and uncertainty about what was happening next. At Anacapri we had to choose between having lunch (at 2:30pm) or going on the chairlift. There wasn’t time to do both. On Day 3 our departure time for Positano was abruptly brought forward by 90 minutes, apparently due to roadworks. This meant we had under an hour in busy, crowded Positano, most of which was spent locating and queuing for a toilet. On to Amalfi, and our driver announced that our group was staying at 2 different hotels. As he had no list of names, we ended up at the wrong hotel and had to tow our luggage up the road to the next hotel. Overall, the lack of care & commitment to our small group detracted from our experience in this very beautiful region of Italy.Show more

We truly value your input and we are grateful for the opportunity to address your concerns. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the fast train experience,... Show moreTrip date: September 2023- PMPatricia· June 7th, 2023This 5 day splendid Amalfi tour was excellent. Hotels in Sorrento and Amalfi were perfect. Super clean and lovely with great service, food and beautiful views. Small group transportation was professional, on time, and drivers shared a lot of their knowledge about the areas. The various tours were excellent with knowledgeable guides and small group sizes. Most notable for excellence were the Pompeii tour and the Capri Island boat tour. We were disappointed with the Capri Island arrangements. A lot of wasted time, large mixed group of languages, very little information shared, and we were brought to a terrible restaurant on the premise that it was part of our tour. I don’t want to take away from 4.5 excellent days by dwelling on this one poor experience, just suggest you review that particular provider. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience the Amalfi Coast.Show moreTrip date: May 2023

Asked on September 23rd, 2025Is there still room on this tour for 2 people? Can you share the room type that is included at the hotels and how many people will be on this tour? Also- we may fly in and out of Naples vs. Rome. Would that decrease the price al all?
Omega ToursOperator•Written September 2025For the October 7, 2025 departure, bookings at this point are on request at the time of booking and subject to availability. This package is a small group tour with a maximum of 15 people, so it's a very intimate experience. The included hotels are standard 4-star properties, and rooms are typically set up with either one double/queen bed or two twins—we can note your preference when confirming. If you prefer to end in Naples rather than Rome, that's absolutely fine and won't affect the tour price.

Traveler•Written September 2025Do you have any tours that includes that or can it be added? Also, it we added nights in Naples or Amalfi on either end, can you do that or do we need to do that on our own?
Omega ToursOperator•Written September 2025Pompeii is already included in this package, so you'll definitely get to experience it as part of your tour. If you'd like, we can also add extra days in Naples at either the beginning or the end of your trip to give you more time in the area. Amalfi is also an option we can arrange if that's of interest.
