Budapest
You'll arrive in Budapest and board your suite ship by 5 pm. Dinner happens onboard while the ship departs, sailing through the night toward Mohács.

Mohács
In Mohács, you have several options to fill your day. Walk around town with your Adventure Host, join a guided tour of historic memorial parks and churches, or visit the medieval St. Nicholas Watermill. If you'd rather venture out, head to nearby Pécs for a guided tour of its 4th-century underground tombs (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and an organ concert. By evening, the ship cruises to Ilok.

Ilok to Novi Sad
Start with a guided tour of Ilok, learning about its 1,000-year-old wine-making tradition and medieval fortress. You'll have lunch onboard as you cruise toward Novi Sad. Once there, either walk the town with your Adventure Host or take a guided tour to see the Austro-Hungarian old town with baroque buildings and ancient fortifications. The ship sails overnight to Belgrade.

Belgrade
Belgrade sits where the Danube and Sava Rivers meet. You can walk the city's central walkway with your Adventure Host or join a guided tour visiting Saint Sava, one of the world's largest Orthodox churches. An onboard lecture covers Balkan history and culture. Later, explore Knez Mihailova Street on your own for cafes, shops, and cultural spots. An optional excursion offers authentic Bohemian dinner in the Skadarlija Quarter. The ship cruises overnight to Golubac.

Golubač to Donji Milanovac
The Fortress of Golubac is one of Europe's best-preserved medieval fortresses, and a guided experience covers its history as a border control point between Serbia, the Habsburg Monarchy, and the Ottoman Empire. You'll sail to Donji Milanovac where you can walk with your Adventure Host or join a guided tour to the Lepenski Vir Mesolithic archaeological site overlooking the Danube Gorge. The spectacular Iron Gates Gorge follows, a natural border between Serbia and Romania. Overnight sailing takes you to Vidin.

There you'll see remarkable rock formations on the western slopes of the Balkan Mountains, shaped by 200 million years of natural processes. The ship cruises overnight to Rousse.

Rousse
You have choices for this day in Rousse. Walk in the park with your Adventure Host or take a full-day guided tour to Veliko Tarnovo, the former Bulgarian capital known for ancient stone houses perched on cliffs above the Yantra River, plus the 15th-century town of Arbanassi with its Bulgarian Revival architecture. Alternatively, a guided sightseeing tour covers Bulgaria's largest inland port and its impressive Holy Trinity Church. Live Bulgarian folklore entertainment happens onboard. The ship cruises overnight to Oltenita.

You'll disembark and transfer to Bucharest for a guided tour of Romania's capital. See tree-lined boulevards, the Arc de Triomphe honoring WWI soldiers, and Royal Palace Square, where the 1989 riots against communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu took place. Then you'll drive to Brasov for the night.

Brașov to Sinaia to Bucharest
You'll tour Peles Castle, the royal family's summer residence until 1947. The drive back toward Bucharest takes you through the Carpathians with a local lunch along the way. In the afternoon, explore Bucharest on your own, checking out trendy shops, cafes, museums, beautiful homes, and churches along Victory Avenue.
