- Day 1
Lisbon
You'll land at Lisbon airport where local reps meet you for the drive to your hotel. From there, the rest of the day is open so you can start getting a feel for the capital, wandering through its historic neighborhoods and soaking in the local culture at your own pace.

Lisbon
After breakfast, a guided tour takes you to Edward VII observation deck for views across the city, then you'll walk through Avenida da Liberdade, Rossio, and Praça do Comércio. Later you head to Belém to see the Tower of Belém, Monument of the Discoveries, and Jerónimos Monastery, plus you get to taste the famous Pastéis de Belém. Lunch and the afternoon free up so you can wander Alfama's narrow old streets on your own, then have dinner whenever suits you.

Lisbon
You'll drive out through old estates and small villages to reach Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe. From there, head to Sintra to see the romantic Pena Palace from a distance (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), with lunch on your own in town. Next comes the legendary Devil's Mouth cave and Guincho Beach, then a walk through the fishing town of Cascais. You'll pass through the spa town of Estoril before getting back to Lisbon for dinner and the night.

Lisbon to Porto
After breakfast, you drive to Tomar, a historic city where the Templars once lived. There you'll see the Convent of Christ, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with striking Manueline architecture. Then it's on to Fatima, a major pilgrimage destination, with lunch free. Later you stop at the Monastery of Batalha to check out its Late Flamboyant Gothic style before driving to Porto for dinner and overnight.

Porto
You get a half-day guided tour of Porto starting at the Bolhão Market, then the Chapel of the Souls and Santa Catarina Street (home to the famous Majestic Café). You'll see the tile work at São Bento Train Station, walk along Flores Street to the Stock Exchange Palace, and explore Ribeira district before crossing the Luis I Bridge on foot. The tour wraps with a port wine tasting in the historic cellars. Afternoon and lunch are free to keep exploring, and dinner is at your own pace.

Porto
Leaving Porto, you travel through the Douro River valley landscape (a UNESCO heritage region) and take a one-hour traditional rabelo boat tour on the river. After that, you stop at a winery for lunch and a wine tasting with entertainment. The evening is yours to relax, and you'll stay overnight in Porto.

Porto to Lisbon
You'll head to Aveiro, known locally as the 'Venice of Portugal' because of its canals. Check out Costa Nova village with its colorful striped fishermen's houses, then walk through Aveiro city center and its iconic boats. Later you drive to Nazaré, a beach town with good seafood and dramatic cliffsides, where lunch and free time let you explore on your own. In the early afternoon, you go to Óbidos, a medieval town that's well preserved, for a stroll through cobblestone streets, handicraft shops, and whitewashed houses with flower decorations. Then it's back to Lisbon for dinner and overnight.

Lisbon to Ponta Delgada
After breakfast, your local reps meet you in the hotel lobby and take you to the airport for a domestic flight to Ponta Delgada in the Azores. When you arrive, you'll get a transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to start exploring São Miguel, the largest island in this volcanic archipelago, known as the 'Green Island' for its varied landscapes.

Ponta Delgada
After breakfast, you visit a pineapple plantation and taste the liquor they make. Next, you head to Pico do Carvão to see the central island and both coasts, then stop at Sete Cidades parish to see the beautiful blue Lagoa das Sete Cidades. You'll also check out the peaceful Lagoa de Santiago on the way to Vista do Rei viewpoint for a different view of the volcanic crater before heading back to your hotel for the night.

Ponta Delgada
This day in Ponta Delgada is yours to spend however you like. You can walk the charming cobblestone streets and find old architecture, colorful buildings, and coffee shops, or head along Avenida Infante Dom Henrique on the harbor front. Some folks visit the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Esperança and nearby Igreja de São José church, or check out Portas da Cidade, Largo da Matriz, the Carlos Machado museum, and São Sebastião parish church. It's all up to you.
