- Peter· June 2nd, 2025Fantastic tour to get a great feel of Italy and how the Italians live. Wonderful scenery, exciting ports to see. Our guides were wonderful helpful people, my wife and i recommend for a great taste of ItalyShow more
- Steffanie· May 30th, 2025I absoloutly loved this trip. This trip is comprised of two portions, first the Amalfi Coast portion which was a group tour and then Tuscan portion was more of an independent adventure. I have done the Amalfi Coast portion of this trip twice, once as a solo traveller and the second time with my partner. It is the perfect way to see the Amalfi Coast on a budget. The bungalows are comfortable and I love that there is the option to take the shuttle into town or even walk. The roads around the Amalfi Coast are crazy and so having a local, experienced driver like we had on this trip is an absolute must. The Tuscan portion of this trip was amazing! The boutique, local accommodation was great - it is possibly different on each departure, the one we stayed at had an amazing restaurant attached and was only a short shuttle ride away from San Gimiano. It also had a great pool. We loved the wine tour that was included in the Tuscan portion of this trip.Show more
- Yasmin· May 18th, 2025As a solo female traveller, this tour was a great way to experience the Naples and Amalfi coast area. A most special thanks to our great tour guide Giovanni. He shared his wonderful local knowledge and culture with us, answered every single question and call for suggestion we had, accompanied us whenever and wherever we needed anything. He handled all the logistics impeccably. Not to mention he is hilarious and great company! Thank you for showing us a great time and making us feel safe and welcome. I recommend this tour and hope you end up with Giovanni.Show more

Asked on September 19th, 2024Could you please inform me as to what hotels we will be staying at during the length of the tour. Are there any other dinners included besides the welcome dinner? What type of vehicle is used for transportation? When in Alberobello will we be visiting the Castellana caves and Grotto Bianca? Would we be able to do dinner at Grotto Palazzese?
- Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written September 2024
We collaborate with several top-rated hotels and B&Bs. Two weeks before your tour departure, you will receive all relevant travel information, including hotel names. During this tour, the Welcome Dinner and daily breakfasts at the hotel are included. Other meals are not part of the package. We use a private minivan for larger groups and a car for smaller groups. The driving times vary depending on the locations. Unfortunately, the Castellana Caves are not included in the itinerary. Dinner at Grotto Palazzese is not possible during the tour, but you can make separate arrangements. Reservations for Grotto Palazzese should be made well in advance, and the tasting menu starts at around €200 per person.

Traveler•Written September 2024It seems that we are having trouble finding a flight from Athens to Bari for May 11. The flights seem to arrive too late for us to participate in the orientation and welcome dinner. Could it be possible to start the tour on May 12 for our group of 4 people?
- Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written October 2024
We could arrange a private tour of Puglia and Matera specifically for your group of four. This would allow us to make some customizations to your itinerary. It would be possible for your group to join one day later if you like, though this would mean missing out on the first day of the tour.

Asked on August 14th, 2024Are we eligible for the tour to Puglia/Matera? My spouse is 72 and I am 70. Both in very good health and lead active lives but looks like you have a maximum age of 55
- Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written August 2024
The tour to Puglia and Matera is designed for students and backpackers looking at sharing the same experience with other like minded travellers. I am afraid you won't fit in this tour package. Feel free at looking at other suitable products which reflect more your tour style.
