- AKyle· August 3rd, 2023Morocco was well outside my comfort zone as an American who hadn’t previously been outside of the western world or the Caribbean. Traveling via a well established tour company with a guide who was native to the country, religion, and culture was uppermost in my mind. That knowledge alleviated my anxiety and uncertainty. I especially valued the closer glimpses of everyday life provided to us by two different meals in private homes, a dinner in Fes and, later in the tour, lunch in the home of a rural farmer near the Atlas Mountains. Additionally, our guide took us through multiple medinas and, especially, crowded souks that I never would have entered on my own. - ANancy· July 26th, 2023I expected this trip to Morocco to be great but it was even far better than I expected. I'm a 64 year old solo woman traveler with an arthritic knee. It was my first trip with Intrepid but it won't be my last. The guides, transportation, food, accommodations and itinerary were all excellent. Our tour guide was extremely helpful and patient and interesting. He made the history and culture of Morocco so interesting. At one restaurant they had to make up a meal because they didn't have a vegan one on the menu but it was good so don't worry they understand and your tour guide can help explain. Good news vegetarian tagine and coucous you can get basically everywhere and they are already vegan! Asked on December 5th, 2024How many people are usually in the group on these tours and is my age suitable, in other words is there a range of ages on these groups or do they all tend to be under 40 for example? Am I right in thinking the cost does not include travel to and from Morocco? Does the cost include accommodation and all meals?
Intrepid PremiumOperator•Written December 2024The maximum group size for our tours is 12 people so it is a relatively small group. There is no age requirements for any of these trips all ages over 15 are accepted however, I do find that our 50 - 70+ age group tends to book more on our premium itineraries. The price listed does include all accommodations, transport. some meals and activities within Morocco. There is also a complimentary arrival airport transfer but not a departure transfer, we can set that up for an additional cost if needed. International flights and insurance are not included and you will need to get those separately.

Traveler•Written December 2024I can see as a solo traveller I would be required to share accommodation with another solo male traveller. Can I ask if, once the name of that person is known, if it is possible for me to contact them in advance of the trip, so we can get to know each other a bit before the trip? Also, what happens if due to their being an odd number of solo male travellers for example, eg 1,3 or 5, there is a requirement for me to have solo accommodation, ie does this affect the price? Finally, can I check what the payment schedule is, eg an initial deposit of how much and final payment required by when, and also what the cancellation policy is?

As a solo traveler if you okay sharing your accommodations you will be paired with another solo of the same gender. Due to privacy laws we do not disclose any passenger information prior to the trip, all travelers will meet on Day 1. In the event that there is an uneven number of solo males a lot of the times we rotate the single rooms to keep it fair, if 2 solos become friends and opt to stay rooming together the entire trip that odd person will get the single room by default and this will not effect the trip price. A single supplement is available if you'd prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights of your trip and is subject to availability. An initial deposit of 200 GBP is required to confirm your spot. This is a non-refundable deposit. If you wanted to make any changes/cancelations you must do so before 56 days prior to departure to avoid fees, any cancelations before 56 days we will hold your deposit as a future travel deposit with no expiration. Any Deposit Credit may not be applied to the same or similar dates of travel. Final payment is due at 56 days and any changes/cancelations will result in the below fees: -between 31 and 55 days prior to departure, we charge a cancellation fee of 30% of the total booking cost; - between 30 and 15 days prior to departure, we charge a cancellation fee of 60% of the total booking cost; or -14 days or fewer prior to departure, we charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the booking cost.

Unfortunately there's no camel ride included on this tour. There is one on our Premium Morocco Explorer tour (code: XMPF). It's a 12 day tour departing from Casablanca and finishing in Marrakech.
