Anchorage
You'll arrive in Anchorage and connect with your German-speaking guide at the airport. From there, it's a transfer to your hotel where you'll meet the other travelers in your group.

Anchorage to Denali
After breakfast, you head north from Anchorage along the George Parks Highway toward Denali National Park. The drive takes you past glaciers, beaver dams, and the landscape keeps changing around you. Later in the evening, there's an optional glacier flight near Denali Mountain if the weather cooperates (about one hour).

- Day 3
Denali National Park
You'll spend the day on a scenic wildlife tour using a dedicated shuttle bus that goes deep into Denali National Park. On clear days, you can see Denali Mountain at 6,193 meters, the highest peak in the USA. Watch for wolves, Dall's sheep, elk, caribou, and grizzly bears throughout the ride. The tour might also include a stop at Wonder Lake, which is the park's largest lake and attracts tons of wildlife.

Denali to Fairbanks
You travel south on the George Parks Highway and reach Fairbanks by noon. Located about 320 kilometers from the Arctic Circle, this city gets called the city of the midnight sun. Your afternoon opens up for checking out local museums that cover Alaska's geology and history, walking along the Chena River, or browsing downtown. An optional paddle steamer ride on the Chena River is something worth considering.

Fairbanks to Dawson City
Leaving Fairbanks, you head south through rivers and lakes with the Trans-Alaska Pipeline visible crossing the Tanana River. After that, you'll take the Top of the World Highway past the tree line through alpine plateaus and tundra landscape. The route crosses at Little Gold Creek, the highest border crossing between Canada and the USA, then passes through quirky towns like Chicken, Action Jackson, and Jack Wade Camp. By evening you reach the Yukon River and cross by ferry into Dawson City.

- Day 6
Dawson City
You spend time in this historic gold rush town where the Klondike River meets the Yukon. If you want, you can try panning for gold yourself, or check out the Gold Digger Museum or Jack London Cabin instead. Walking through the town's well-preserved buildings gives you a real sense of the historical period. Later in the evening, there's a visit to Diamond Tooth Gerties casino where cancan dancers perform.

Dawson City
The Dempster Highway is your route today, the only road access to Inuvik, an Arctic Sea town in the Northwest Territories. You'll see the Tombstone Mountains and get to experience the tundra landscape. Also fitting in a visit to Midnight Dome, the local mountain in Dawson City, for views across the area.

Dawson City to Whitehorse
Following the Klondike Highway toward Whitehorse, you travel alongside the mighty Yukon River, one of North America's longest at almost 3,200 kilometers. Along the way, you pass old post offices, rest houses, and small towns that still carry the gold rush era feeling. There's an optional stop at Five Finger Rapids if you want. Late afternoon brings you to Whitehorse, where you can visit nearby Miles Canyon before evening. The canyon was created by basaltic lava flows, and you can cross a historic suspension bridge to see the 20-meter-high canyon walls.

Whitehorse
On your final day, you explore Whitehorse, the provincial capital of Yukon. Local attractions include the longest wooden salmon stairs in the world and the Transportation Museum. You could take an optional boat trip through Miles Canyon on the upper Yukon River, or just relax and do some shopping instead. Then you head to the airport for your flight back to Europe.
