- Michele· September 10th, 2023Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishWe enjoyed the safari trip very much. We were extraordinarily lucky to be the only ones on the safari trip because no one else had booked at the same time. Sam, our guide, led the trip very well, was always approachable for us and could tell ums many interesting details about the country and the people. The accommodations are all good and clean, especially excellent were the two nights in the Sunset Lodge, which was absolutely top from the location and the food. Here, with a bit of luck, you can sit around the campfire while the animals walk by a few meters away from you. If you want to see a lot of animals, you will also get your money's worth during the visit to Kruger Park. We would recommend the trip without reservation.Show moreAcacia Adventure Holidays commented on this reviewDear Michele, Thank you very much for your positive feedback. - LVLynda· March 29th, 2019Great experience. Simon kept us well informed of the days itinerary with timings and locations — loved his personal wake up calls. He also has eagle eyes!!! He made just enough potty stops on those long drives. Very memorable trip. Thank you, Simon — thoroughly enjoyed it!!!!!Show moreAcacia Adventure Holidays commented on this reviewDear Lynda, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. - AAlessandroAntonelli· July 24th, 2018As for the Tour, the level is "easy". Guides and vehicles are not always up to standard while meals and accommodation are of a good standard. There is no contact with the people, we are too closed in the "cages" reserved for tourists. For those who for the first time travel to Africa and want to get an idea I recommend it, while if you want something more, even with greater contact with people, maybe it is better to change agency.Show moreAcacia Adventure Holidays commented on this reviewDear Alessandro, Thank you for your post. We are glad you found the tour level easy as we do our best to ensure our tours are not too difficult for either Africa fanatics or first time visitors. Acacia tours include at least one National Park, as well... Show moreTrip date: May 2018

Asked on December 1st, 2016How do I get back from Livingstone to Johannesburg?
- Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written December 2016
There are many different options of how to travel between Livingstone to Johannesburg as there are flights (usually 2 a day). There is a possibility to travel by bus if you have time. You can take the bus from Johanesburg to Bulawayo. From there, there are buses to Victoria Falls, or the night train (from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, you can cross by food to Livingston, Zambia. ) However, transport in Zimbabwe is not really reliable.
Another option would be to go through Botswana - this is longer, but maybe a little more comfortable. The ride through Botswana is really long, but it's a little bit more reliable there. There are also some private transfer options that you can find on the internet.

Asked on April 23rd, 2015What is the Adventure Pass?
- Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2015
Every Overland tour has an Adventure Pass which is paid to your tour leader in Africa at the beginning of the tour (or pre-paid by arrangement prior to your tour). This is separate and in addition to the Tour Price, and covers selected park entries, activities and excursions along the way where payment goes directly to the supplier to ensure local suppliers benefit directly from the income.
