Arrival in Marrakech
You'll arrive in Marrakech and meet your tour guide at the airport for the transfer to your riad in the medina. Take it easy for the rest of the day and then head out with the group for a welcome dinner in the evening.

Marrakech to Casablanca to Rabat
After breakfast, travel to Casablanca to see Hassan II Mosque with its 210-meter minaret. From there, continue north about 100 kilometers to Rabat, Morocco's capital. You'll check into your resort on the Bou Regreg river once you arrive.

Rabat to Tangier
Start in Rabat's political center and look out toward the royal palace entrance. You'll walk through Hassan Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum in the old town. Later, board the Moroccan TGV Al Boraq high-speed train heading up the coast to Tangier, arriving in the evening and settling into your riad in the medina.

Tangier to Chefchaouen
Wander through Tangier's medina and check out the kasbah overlooking the old port, then pop into Petit Socco square. Drive to Cape Spartel at Africa's north-easternmost point and the nearby Hercules Caves. The scenic coastal road N16 takes you through the Rif mountains with ocean views on one side and dramatic cliffs on the other before you reach the blue-washed town of Chefchaouen.

This morning, walk through Chefchaouen's blue medina with its narrow alleyways and distinctive blue doors. Reach Place Outa el Hammam where you can grab coffee at small cafes and try local goat cheese. Climb the Kasbah's tower for panoramic views of the city and mountains. You'll have the afternoon free to relax or explore on your own.

Chefchaouen to Fès
Check out the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see its well-preserved floor mosaics. Continue to the royal city of Meknes to visit the Ville Imperiale, Sultan Moulay Ismail's tomb, and Bab Mansour gate. Later in the afternoon, head to Fes, the third royal city.

Fès
Start at Borj Sud fortress for an overview of Fes. Then walk through Fes El Bali medina dating back to the 9th century, visiting Bou Inania Koranic school, the mausoleum of Idris II, and the Kairaouine complex. Wander the tanners' quarter and souks where traditional crafts continue. After that, head to Fes El Djedid on the plateau to see the royal palace exterior and the Jewish quarter. By afternoon, walk through modern Ville Nouvelle and relax at a cafe on Hassan II Avenue before returning to the old town with free time.

Fès to Merzouga
Leave Fes and drive through cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. Stop near Azrou village to stretch and possibly spot Barbary macaques. Continue south through the High Atlas with rocky landscapes. You'll grab lunch in Midelt, then pass through the Ziz Valley to reach Merzouga in the early evening. Take a sunset walk in the Erg Chebbi sand dunes.

Merzouga to Skoura
You have the option for an early sunrise viewing in Erg Chebbi. After breakfast, travel south through small Berber villages along the Road of Kasbahs. Explore Todra Gorge with towering rock faces nearly 300 meters high. Continue through green oasis settlements, passing through El Kelaa oasis of M'Gouna with fruit and rose plantations. You'll arrive in Skoura in the late afternoon.

Skoura
After breakfast, take it easy and head to a women's initiative project supporting women in difficult situations. Learn about their workshops and get involved in Moroccan cooking activities with the women. Shop for fresh ingredients at the souk and prepare lunch under a chef's guidance. You'll have mint tea and Moroccan pastries for dessert, then have the afternoon free.

Skoura to Mhamid
In the morning, visit Ouarzazate, then travel to Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village at the High Atlas foot with distinctive adobe buildings used as film sets. From there, continue south past the Wadi Draa dried river valley. Stop in Tamegroute to see the Nassiriya order library with around 4,000 medieval manuscripts. You'll arrive in Mhamid in the late afternoon.

Mhamid to Erg Chegaga
Take a relaxing walk through Mhamid medina in the morning, seeing how desert reclaims old clay buildings. After lunch, head out on an off-road vehicle desert adventure. Cross the Hamada rocky stone desert and reach the Erg Chegaga sand dunes by afternoon. You'll stay at a comfortable tented camp in the dunes with a campfire atmosphere in the evening and stargazing if weather allows.

Erg Chegaga to Taroudant
Drive west through the Sahara on an off-road vehicle along the former Paris-Dakar Rally route. Pass the dried-up Lake Iriki and reach the Berber oasis of Foum Zguid around midday. Transfer back to the tour bus, then continue through the Anti-Atlas mountain landscape via Berber towns of Taznakht and Taliouine. You'll arrive in Taroudant, nearly surrounded by an ancient eight-kilometer-long wall.

Relax at your accommodation in the morning. Travel north along the N1 coastal road toward Essaouira. Stop in Taghazout, a small fishing village turned surfing and seaside resort with Atlantic Ocean views. Continue north to Essaouira, arriving in the late afternoon.

Essaouira to Marrakech
Walk through Essaouira's UNESCO-listed medina with whitewashed houses and fortress walls. Head to Scala de la Kasbah for ocean and city views, then browse artistic wooden inlay workshops. Wander the rectangular medina layout to find souks, Place Moulay El Hassan, and the bustling fishing port. Visit a women's cooperative in nearby Ghazoua dedicated to argan oil production and learn about the labor-intensive process. You'll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Marrakech
Start at the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, Marrakech's architectural landmark. Visit Bahia Palace with its mosaic-decorated courtyard and the Saadian tombs with ornate mosaics, stucco, and cedar wood. Get to the legendary Djemaa-El-Fna square. The afternoon is yours to wander Marrakech's souks at your own pace, pick up souvenirs, and relax. You can optionally visit Jardin Majorelle (book ahead), designed by French painter Jacques Majorelle with interplaying light and shade throughout. By evening, head back to Djemaa-El-Fna to see the transformation from afternoon entertainment to evening cookshop dining.
