Itinerary

Marseille to Arles
Your flight touches down in Marseille around 3 pm, and you'll head to the dock to board your Suite Ship by 5 pm. After settling into your cabin, the ship stays docked overnight in Arles so you can get your bearings and rest up for the days ahead.

Arles to Avignon
Pick one of three options at the Adventure Center: a Power Walk around Arles, a Van Gogh Painting Workshop where you'll make your own piece, or a guided walking tour of the famous Roman Amphitheater. Later on, stop by Le Café Van Gogh and attend a wine lecture from your Master of Wine before sailing toward Avignon.

Avignon
You can either take a guided tour through the fortress city of Avignon, checking out its ramparts and the Palace of the Popes, or head out to the wine cellars of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône region for tastings. Back on the ship that evening, there's live entertainment scheduled.

Avignon to Viviers to Tain l'Hermitage
The morning brings an easy sail to Viviers, where you'll choose between hiking up to the hilltop Cathedral or taking a guided walk through the pale-stone buildings and Old Town (which has Christian, Roman, and medieval influences mixed in). By evening, join your Master of Wine for a food and wine pairing dinner onboard.

Tournon to Lyon
In Tournon, decide between a morning hike with your Adventure Host or a guided tour exploring the medieval city, its 16th-century castle, and Roman ruins along the Rhône. By early afternoon you're cruising to Lyon, and during the sail there's a chocolate and wine tasting with your Master of Wine.

Lyon to Tournus
A guided tour shows you Lyon from Fourvière Hill and its many churches, then through the Old Town's medieval alleyways, cafés, and Place des Terreaux fountain. Or you can go to the Beaujolais area on a separate tour to learn about light wines. The ship sails overnight to Tournus.

You'll drive from Chalon-sur-Saône to Beaune and visit the Hôtel-Dieu Charity Hospital (built in 1443), which holds van der Weyden's Last Judgment painting. From there, it's a high-speed train ride from Dijon to Paris.

Paris
In Paris, you can choose a guided walk through the ancient heart of the city hitting Palais-Royal and Île de la Cité, or take a city tour covering the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, and Champs-Élysées. The rest of the day is free for museums, strolling around, or checking out Montmartre's Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur.
