Trip date: November 2024 - DEDeborah· November 18th, 2024I am a mature, solo, self guided traveller who travels globally. This is the very first time I have booked a group tour. I researched doing so and was fortunate to find G Adventures. I am just back from a week long South African safari. I can find no fault in the time I spent interactivng with this company. From the very first communications, which were always prompt and helpful to the last breakfast on the day we ended in J-burg, the organization and intinerary of the trip was excellent. I was very fortunate, being a more mature person, my group was composed of 8 lovely, younger folk. They were a delight! The accomodation and meals presented were also very good. The guide Bev and the driver and another guide were an terrific team as we drove countless hundreds of kms searching for the animals. G Adventures can not guarantee when and if you will see these magical creatures. However we lucked out and saw many many animals in their natural habitat. The value for the money spent was very good...and more than competitive. I can not recommend this tour or group more than a 5, if I could I would. Regretfully, the minimum age for the Clasic 8-day Kruger in Depth tour is 12 years old and up. We are strict on this matter. Perhaps the National Geographic Journeys 11-day Southern Africa Family Journey: In Search of the Big Five tour could work? This tour has a minium age requirement of 7 years old and up.
