Santa Cruz de la Sierra
You'll land in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and get settled at your hotel for the night. This is your entry point into Bolivia, so take time to adjust and rest up before your adventure begins.

Santa Cruz de la Sierra to Samaipata
After breakfast, the drive takes you to Samaipata where you'll check out a winery and have lunch. From there, you'll head to El Fuerte, an Inca site and UNESCO World Heritage Site with plenty to explore. The evening is free to wander around town and grab dinner where you like.

Samaipata to Santa Cruz de la Sierra
You'll hike an easy trail through Amboró National Park, about 6 km and roughly 1.5 hours. Keep an eye out for monkeys, birds, and butterflies. The forest has giant ferns reaching up to 10 meters high, which is something to see. You'll finish with a picnic lunch before heading back.

Santa Cruz de la Sierra to Sucre
A flight takes you to Sucre, Bolivia's colonial city. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to relax and explore at your own pace, whether that's walking around neighborhoods or just resting at the hotel.

Sucre
On a guided tour, you'll see 25 de Mayo square, the cathedral, and Casa de la Libertad. You'll also visit one of South America's oldest universities. The market visit includes trying local cheese, fruit, and choquísaqueño sandwiches. Before the afternoon free time kicks in, you'll check out La Recoleta viewpoint and the ASUR Museum of Indigenous Art.

Sucre to Potosí
You're heading up to Potosí, sitting at around 4,000 meters and one of the world's highest cities. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll visit an active silver mine on the famous Cerro Rico. The altitude might affect you, so take it easy and stay hydrated.

Potosí to Uyuni
A guided tour in the morning takes you through Potosí's colonial alleyways. You'll see Casa de la Moneda (the former mint), San Francisco Monastery, and the Street of the 7 Corners. Later in the day, you'll travel on to Uyuni.

Uyuni
You'll cross the white Salar de Uyuni by off-road vehicle to reach Isla de Pescado. It's off the typical tourist trail, and you'll have a BBQ picnic out there. By evening, you get to watch the sunset over the salt lake, which is really something special.

Uyuni to La Paz
After flying into La Paz, you'll explore the colonial old town and check out the witches' market. Then it's on to Plaza Murillo to see the cathedral, government palace, and congress building. The cable car takes you up to El Alto, and you'll walk through Moon Valley with its weird rock formations before heading back down.

Sun Island
On the way to Lake Titicaca, you'll stop at the UNESCO ruins of Tiwanaku, which was once the largest city in the Andes. After exploring and visiting the museum, you'll continue to the lake and take a boat to Sun Island. You'll watch the sunset from the island and have dinner there.

Sun Island to Puno, Peru
In the morning, you'll explore the southern part of Sun Island, seeing the Inca garden, steps, spring, and parts of the old Inca palace. A boat takes you to Copacabana where you'll visit the pilgrimage church and grab lunch. Later you'll cross into Peru and arrive in Puno by evening.

Puno to Cuzco
The route to Cuzco crosses the Andean landscape with stops at the Inca ruins of Raqchi and the colonial church in Andahuaylillas. You'll try cancacho, a traditional meat dish, at El Cordero Macho restaurant for a snack. By evening, you'll reach Cuzco, the former heart of the Inca empire.

Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes
You'll visit the agricultural facilities at Moray and check out the white salt terraces of Maras. At a family home, you'll sample Chicha de Jora, a traditional corn beer. The panoramic train then takes you through the valley to Aguas Calientes, giving you time to just relax and look at the scenery.

Aguas Calientes to Cuzco
Early morning means you'll get to Machu Picchu when it's quieter. On a guided tour, you'll explore the main buildings in the complex. If you want, you can climb Huayna Picchu for extra views (it's optional). You'll return by train and bus, heading back through Aguas Calientes and Ollantaytambo to Cuzco.
