- Ria· January 12th, 2023Can i start by saying this was my very ever first tour & I’m 63 yrs old. I had the best time, we were a small group of 7, we started with 8 but unfortunately 1 dropped out on the second day due to illness. It didn’t take long for our group to mingle & interact like we had known each other for ever, this continued right up until the end where we all didn’t want our tour to finish, we made some long term connections amongst the group everyone was so lovely. Our driver was fantastic he was ale to provide us with knowledge & he certintly attended to all our needs, he was polite, respectful & had a great sense of humuor, each day he was prepared & organised for our day ahead he was able to adapt our program as we had a public holiday & certain venues were closed & he had solutions & mixed things up so we didn’t miss out on sight seeing oportunites. Each stop our driver was prepared with breakfast, lunch & dinner options & had suggestion on eateries. Like i said he attended to our needs, he kept us up to date with what was coming up & communication was excellent. At first i was a little sceptical after reading a review on your site which was really negative but thought that was 1 bad review & since being on this tour i truly believe it was just that persons view & i cant wait to use TourRadoar again. I tend to travel O/S at the end of May for 4 - 5 months & may look at what you have on offer. I love to use social media, each day I would add destinations & photos of my trip, many friends have commented & i’ve sent the Margaret River TourRadoar link to them. I only happened to acme accross TourRadour on line when i was searching for a senior singles tours & yours came up & as i had never been to WA it really interested me & the diverse group of people & ages our youngest was 31 & eldest was 73. I really loved the adventure of our tour as each day was a surpirse, the only thing i could say was the trek back to Perth after our final stop on our last day at The Gap & Natural Bridge which was breath taking !!!!! the rest of the trip was long & boring not much to do except sit & wait for a piss stop or lunch stop, maybe if it could have had an extra day but over all it was really great & i just want to also thank all the people behind the scene as our driver could not have done this trip on his own, you guys all rock all that organising of booking accommodation, entry fees budgeting all of it amazing job & truly thank you. All the best for 2023 RiaShow moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Ria - what a lovely review! - IDIvon· September 26th, 2022The tour was poorly organized compared to other tour radar/Intrepid tours. The winery visit was the worse I have ever experienced in Australia. I was really hoping to visit a "boutique" winery in Margaret River as per the tour brochure but we ended up in a very small/average winery with a very rude service. They only poured a few drops of each wine to taste and we were told that if we wanted to try more we had to buy. Also the winery didn't have any chairs where to sit to enjoy the wine tasting. One of the main reasons of my trip was to fly from Sydney and try the famous Margaret River wineries, but sadly I ended up with a very disappointing experience. Also, there were a few days where we were basically thrown in hostels/motels where it was no guidance from the tour guide. We even got told off once because we were asking questions. Found that very rude. It felt like we were assigned a driver rather than a tour guide as it was little information/guidance provided. Finally there were some misleading information regarding activities or accommodation, one of the accommodation was meant to be cottages but it wasn't. We ended up in a big house with no enough bathrooms and an angry driver telling us off for asking questions. Will definitely recommend to review and make relevant improvement on tour and tour guide to avoid further disappointed tourist. Good think was the group of people I met and how we lean in each other to make the most of the trip even though was poorly organized.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Ivon, thank you for taking the time to submit your review. Traveler•Written July 2022I have 3 more questions regarding this trip: 1) I see on the Intrepid website that this trip has a physical rating of 3 dots. Do you have a description of what that means? While I am a relatively fit 65 year old and can walk/hike most terraine, I want to make sure that this trip is appropriate for me. 2) Have other people already signed up for this trip the week of 1/16-1/20/2022. If so how many and roughly what is the make up of the group? (singles, families, approximate ages, etc.) 3) If others have not already signed up for the trip will I be guaranteed that it will take place?
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written August 2022
1) 3 out of 5 = This trip will raise your heart rate. Moderate physical activities are included and a good level of fitness is required. Which means you need to be pretty fit. Start by doing a little more cardio each week to get yourself conditioned. 2) There are 2 other people on this tour in their 70s looks like they are booked together. Male and Female 3) We only need 1 person for this tour to run. So it is a guaranteed departure at this time.
