- SPSandra· March 28th, 2025We had a fabulous time in Bhutan because of our amazing tour guides. Sanom and Zhangpo. They made the entire trip enjoyable and comfortable. This was our first trip to Bhutan and we were a bit apprehensive. After meeting and spending time with our ‘2 fellas’ , we were completely at ease . The expertise and knowledge both have and conveyed to us was very valuable. Sanom’s, as well as Zhangpo’s personalities were like traveling with family. Thanks again for helping us have a trip of a lifetime. Sandra Pace and Uwe VieilleShow moreTrip date: March 2025

- ALauro Tanguma III· July 10th, 2024It is the happiest country l have ever been to. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe and in awe throughout the trip! The daily schedule was designed in such a way that it offered cultural visits, beautiful treks, and free time! Tashi, my guide, was just outstanding. His enthusiasm for Bhutanese culture and his desire to bring the gorgeousness and history of the country in front was extraordinary. He made each site visit enriching and engaging with his knowledge and enthusiasm :) He also cared for me to ensure that l was always comfortable and having fun, providing me with all my questions answered. Nidup, my driver, was also very good; I could not have asked for a better driver than him. Besides my comfort, he was also very careful while driving, making me feel safe. Furthermore, his friendliness was an extra plus that put a lot of creativity into the journey. All my hotels were comfortable and luxurious and made me feel quite homely. All the places that I came across were as charming as the others. The meals always tasted great, with a blend of Bhutanese dishes and continental! The most memorable part of the tour was the walk to Taktsang Monastery. The scenic views were incredible and left me speechless! I recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Bhutan! I am already looking forward to returning as soon as possible!!!!Show moreTrip date: July 2024
- ETErika· November 25th, 2023I spent 5 wonderful days in Bhutan thanks to Bhutan Acorn Tours. Already before the travel they were super helpful - they took care of every detail of my visa, helped me to change my flight ticket and gave me useful tips to prepare my travel. They even recommended me where to sit in the plan for te best views on the Himalaya. :) I was warmly welcomed by Lhamo, my guide at the airport and she took absolutely best care of me all the time. She is young, dynamic, and treated the itinerary with absolute flexibility, easily adjusting to my requests or interests. She didnt hesitate to jump with me on a rafting boat, lend me her beautiful traditional dress for a photo, or dance with me in a karaoke bar. While she was fully knowledgable, and I learnt so much about this fascinating country and its culture, she also brought me close to the people, I hiked and ate with her local friends, many of them who are buddhist monks, and learnt incredibly much about and experienced first-handly buddhism. These holidays, while they were short, they couldnt have been fuller in terms of the experiences, the knowledge and the fun. A big shoutout to Karma, the organiser, who also proved to be very reliable and caring all the time. I cannot recommend this agency enough and I am already thinking when to come back next.Show moreBhutan Acorn Tours & Travel commented on this reviewDear Erika, thank you for your kind review! - Seth· April 22nd, 2023This was an excellent tour in everyway. Truly the trip of a lifetime. Most notably, in my case, I contacted Bhutan Acorn on a wednesday and they had a full tour booked and arranged for me for arrival on Saturday. My plans were completely last minute, as I was in Bangladesh prior. After booking, I didn't have to plan a single thing. I was met at the airport, and all accommodations and meals were taken care of. The private mini-suv was new, clean, and reliable. Accommodations were top notch and all the buffet meals were very tasty! Mr Tashi is an excellent and knowledgeable guide, who passionately shared the rich history of the sites we visited. He even made it a point to snap several photos from our trip. He had answers to all my questions. and, he's just an all around cool guy to spend the day with!Show moreBhutan Acorn Tours & Travel commented on this reviewDear Seth, Thank you for giving us a review. Asked on February 19th, 2025What happens if I need to cancel my trip?
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written February 2025
You can receive a full refund minus the visa fee if you cancel 31 days before departure.

Asked on February 2nd, 2025Does your tour agency process visas to Bhutan? Does the cost of the tour posted in Tour Radar include the daily sustainable development fee? What happens if the visa application is denied? Will the tour charges be refunded?
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written February 2025
Visa fee is included in the price and therefore, we will process your visa on your behalf. Approval is 100% guaranteed as long as you send us clear copies of your passport and a headshot photo after you book the tour. The local payment of US$500, which is the Sustainable Development Fee, sometimes known as government fee, is payable in cash upon arrival. The fee is US$100 per night per person, so for the duration of 4 nights, it is US$400 per person. In case, for some reason, if your visa is denied (I guarantee 100% approval), all the payments you have made will be refund in full.

Asked on January 13th, 2025What is the procedure? Do I have to book the flight first or do I book the trip first? I'm a Singapore citizen & I realise there are limited direct flights. How much would the return flight be from Bangkok to Paro? Which airport is the flight leaving in Bangkok? How fast would I be able to get Bhutan visa? How much would be the land tour?
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written January 2025
Booking the flight first is recommended. The one-way economy airfare for Bangkok to Paro is around US$505. With discount, the one-way economy airfare for Bangkok-Paro is about US$360. Extra night can be arranged at US$270 per night, including Sustainable Development Fee, accommodation, meals, guide, transport, sightseeing.

Traveler•Written January 2025I tried booking a return flight for BKK-Paro but was unable to. Does it have to be separate booking, for one-way flight for BKK-Paro & Paro-BKK? Wouldn't it be more expensive to book 2 one-way tickets compared to a return ticket? If I were to fly directly from Singapore to Paro, do I need a transit visa for India if we do not disembark the flight in India?
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written January 2025
If you are flying into Bhutan from one city and flying out to another city, the airlines does not offer a choice to book altogether. Therefore, you have to book a separate ticket for each flight sector. The flight from Singapore to Bhutan is via Guwahati but you do not have to disembark. They stop for about 30-45 minutes to drop and pick other passengers. So you do not need transit visa.

Asked on October 25th, 2024Is there a specific arrival time for flights?

Asked on September 6th, 2024Is there a problem on your website? We and my clients are confused.

The sales are for selected departure dates only and not across all departures. For example, if your client is flexible on dates, there is a sale on this tour departing on November 7th.

Alexandra
Asked on August 21st, 2024Do you take care of the visa? Or do I have to get the visa on my own?
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written August 2024
Yes, we will process your visas for Bhutan on your behalf. The visa fee is already included in the price. All we need are copies of passports and headshot photos of each passenger. While flight confirmation is not necessary to obtain visas, it is advisable to book your flights in advance if you already know the cities from where you will fly to and from Bhutan. Only 2 airlines, Drukair and Bhutan Airlines, connect to Bhutan with these gateway cities - Bangkok, Delhi, Kolkata, Kathmandu, and Singapore.

Asked on August 17th, 2024Can you tell me: does it include camping and/or a monastery stay? How many km hiking is each day on the itinerary? Is there an option for the hot stone bath after the Tiger's Nest hike? How many people do you expect? Are the rooms shared? I am traveling alone and would prefer my own room.

Traveler•Written August 2024What makes your tour unique? All the tours look kind of the same, and I am concerned that trips will just be stops at tourist destinations with hundreds of other people, and I was hoping for something a bit more authentic.
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written August 2024
This tour does not include trekking and so there is not camping on this tour. It also does not include a stay at the monastery. The maximum hiking distance is 5 km on most days but the hiking is the Tiger's Nest is about 4 km one-way. Yes, you will have an opportunity to take a hot stone bath after the hike to Tiger's Nest. A solo traveller has the choice of selecting 'Single Room' option for a private single room.

Traveler•Written August 2024Is there an option of cycling at any point? Between stops? I can't hike much, but I love to bike. Is there a nunnery? I wasn't aware there were such things? It seems there may be one near Punakha. Is that possible?
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written August 2024
We'll keep the hiking options flexible, and our guide will discuss with you and offer the best options during your trip. There is a nunnery in Thimphu as well as in Punakha. If you wish to visit either or both, we can certainly arrange that. The biking option, however, is difficult as there are only a couple of cars in Bhutan that have bike racks.
