Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
Your driver and guide will pick you up at the airport and drive you to your hotel. Once you're settled in, the rest of the day is open. Some people use this time to sleep off jet lag, while others head out to check out local shops or grab some regional food. It's really up to what you need after traveling.

Santa Cruz to Refugio Los Volcanes
After meeting your guide and driver, you'll drive about 2 hours toward Refugio Los Volcanes with a stop at Mirador viewpoint to take in the landscape. Once there, you'll switch to a smaller 4WD vehicle and get checked in. You can visit a nearby waterfall and swim if you want. Later in the afternoon, your guide leads a 2 to 3 hour hike through the area where you'll look for local birds and animals.

Landmarks Refugio Los Volcanes - Day 3
Refugio Los Volcanes to Santa Cruz
After breakfast, you'll spend about 3 hours hiking around the refuge, watching for different plants, birds, and wildlife. You'll get a chance to swim in the clear lakes in the area. Following lunch back at the hotel, you'll pack up and leave Refugio Los Volcanes. You'll switch back to the regular vehicle at Mirador and then drive back to Santa Cruz.

Landmarks Refugio Los Volcanes - Day 4
Santa Cruz to Sucre
You'll have breakfast and then head to Santa Cruz airport for your flight to Sucre. When you land, your driver picks you up and takes you to your hotel. After a quick rest, your city tour gets going. You'll see the House of Liberty first, then move on to La Recoleta (an old hilltop neighborhood), San Lázaro Church, the courtyard at Universidad Mayor de San Francisco Xavier, and the Convent of San Felipe Nery. The tour wraps up when you return to your hotel.

- Day 5
Sucre to Uyuni via Potosi
You'll drive roughly 3 hours to Potosi and spend time exploring the city. A big part of the day involves visiting Casa Nacional de Moneda, the National Mint, where you can see how they made coins back in the colonial period using old machinery. After grabbing lunch, it's another 3 to 3.5 hour drive to Uyuni.

Landmarks Casa Nacional de Moneda - Day 6
Uyuni Salt Flats
Starting with a short 20 minute drive, you'll reach Colchani Village to see how salt gets processed from the flats. From there, you'll head to the Salt Flats themselves to check out 'Ojos de Sal', which is where water bubbles up through holes in the salt. You'll have time to walk around the Salt Hotel and then visit Isla Incahuasi, also called Fish Island, to see the giant cacti growing there.

- Day 7
Uyuni to La Paz
This morning you'll go to Uyuni Airport and fly to La Paz. Your local guide meets you when you land, and then you're driven to your hotel for a short break. In the afternoon, you'll do a half-day tour hitting the National Congress, San Francisco Church, Killi Killi viewpoint, and Moon Valley. You'll also ride the Mi Teleferico cable car to get some views across La Paz. The day finishes at the Witches' Market, where you can walk around and get a feel for local traditions and beliefs.
