Itinerary
- Day 1
Strasbourg
You'll meet your guide at 3:30 pm at Hotel Beaucours and start exploring Strasbourg's half-timbered streets on foot. The tour takes you through Petite France where the canals run between charming buildings, then into the Gothic cathedral to see the intricate portals and the famous astronomical clock up close. After the guided portion wraps up, you have time to wander the narrow alleyways at your own pace and sit at a street café before heading to dinner at a traditional restaurant in the old town.

Strasbourg to Sélestat
After breakfast, you'll pick up your e-bike near one of the old town gates and head south on quiet roads with Vosges Mountains visible in the distance. You'll ride between the Ill and Rhine rivers through fields and meadows, and around midday your guides set out a picnic buffet (assuming the weather cooperates). From there you continue cycling through countryside toward the River Ill, passing through lush pastures and small river scenery until you reach your hotel near Sélestat by evening.

Sélestat to Colmar to Eguisheim
Following breakfast, you cycle leisurely to Colmar where a guide shows you the old town's half-timbered houses with their intricate carvings. You'll spend time at the Unterlinden Museum, a former monastery, to see the Isenheim Altarpiece by Mathias Grünewald. At midday you explore Colmar's alleyways and grab lunch with French specialties at a local bistro. In the afternoon you cycle through Alsace vineyards and past small villages heading toward Eguisheim, then finish with dinner at a typical Alsatian restaurant.

Eguisheim to Saint-Hippolyte
You'll cycle through Alsace's most famous vineyards today, passing medieval villages and following secretive paths through hilly terrain before reaching Riquewihr in the late afternoon with its notable gate tower and preserved half-timbered houses. A short transfer takes you to Hohkönigsburg Castle sitting on a rocky spur above Saint-Hippolyte. After visiting the castle, you cycle gently downhill through Vosges forest to Saint-Hippolyte where the day ends with a wine tasting at a local winemaker's place.

Saint-Hippolyte to Sélestat to Obernai
Starting on your e-bike from the hotel, you cycle to Sélestat to check out the Humanist Library with its collection of books from the 7th and 12th centuries. You continue through geranium-decorated villages to Dambach-la-Ville and see its nearly complete old town walls, moats, and gates plus a Renaissance fountain with a bear carving. The route takes you past quiet vineyard paths, a small Romanesque chapel, and the flower-filled village of Scherwiller before reaching Obernai, where you'll spend the night in the old town and have dinner at a restaurant with good cuisine.

Obernai to Strasbourg
After breakfast you take a walking tour of Obernai covering the neo-Gothic church, town hall, and narrow streets. Then you get back on your e-bike and head into a hilly vineyard landscape with cozy villages and irregular half-timbered houses decorated with flowers and wrought-iron details. Around midday you visit the Romanesque church of St. Peter and Paul in Rosheim, approaching through the old town gates. From there you cycle quiet side roads and then follow a former railroad line through countryside with pastures and a small canal back to Strasbourg. In the afternoon you stroll through the winding alleyways, grab an aperitif at a street café on the canal banks, and finish with dinner at a restaurant in the old town.
