Hanoi
You'll meet your guide and tour group at the hotel at 6:00pm for a welcome meeting. After that, there's time to check out Hanoi's night markets and busy streets as things come alive after dark, or you can join an optional group dinner if you prefer.

Hanoi
This morning you have free time to wander through the Old Quarter at your own pace, try traditional Vietnamese coffee, and see the mix of French, Chinese, and Vietnamese architecture throughout the city. Then at 1:00pm you'll meet the group for a half-day guided tour hitting President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum and residence, the Temple of Literature, and Ngoc Son Temple by Hoan Kiem Lake. Later in the evening you can explore on your own or join an optional street food walking tour.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
You'll head out from Hanoi toward Halong Bay, passing through the Red River Delta paddy fields and arriving at Tuan Chau wharf by midday. After boarding a traditional junk boat, you'll cruise past limestone islands with lunch at 1:00pm, then spend the afternoon exploring islands and cave systems on foot or kayaking if you want. As sunset comes, you'll relax on deck before dinner at 7:00pm, and the evening is yours to spend relaxing on board, at the bar, or trying squid fishing.

Halong Bay to Hoi An
Start your morning at 7:00am with coffee and tea on the junk boat deck, taking final photos of islands like Ga Choi and Sail Island. There's an optional kayaking activity before checkout at 9:00am and brunch at 9:30am as you cruise back. Later this afternoon you'll fly domestically to Danang and transfer to your hotel in Hoi An.

Hoi An
You'll have a guided tour through Hoi An's Old Quarter, visiting the Japanese Covered Bridge, a historic trader's home, and checking out French Colonial and Chinese architecture. The afternoon is free, so you can get custom clothing made at a tailor, bike to An Bang beach, or join optional tours like a Vespa city and street food tour or countryside bike ride.

Hoi An to Hue
The morning is yours to catch final sights in Hoi An, pick up any tailor-made clothing, or browse boutique stores. In the afternoon you'll head to the Marble Mountains and Cham Museum before driving through the scenic Hai Van Pass en route to Hue. Once you arrive there's free time to walk through the city's decorated pavilions and lotus flower ponds, and you might consider a cyclo ride to see things from a different angle.

Later this afternoon you'll fly domestically to Ho Chi Minh City and rest up for what's ahead.

You'll leave Ho Chi Minh City heading toward the Mekong River on a 2-hour drive to Cai Be. After boarding a wooden boat, you'll cruise past green islands learning about rural life along the Mekong, stopping at river towns like Vinh Long with lunch served on board. Your cruise ends in Can Tho with free time to walk around the bustling town, check out the waterfront, and explore the backstreets.

After breakfast at your hotel, you'll take a boat 6km from Can Tho to visit the Cai Rang Floating Markets where hundreds of wooden rowboats trade rice, clothing, and exotic fruits. You'll wander around and visit the nearby Orchard Garden. Then you'll head to Chau Doc for a boat tour of Tra Su Sanctuary with tropical birds and forest canals before resting up for crossing into Cambodia tomorrow.

Chau Doc to Phnom Penh
Set your alarm for a 7:00am transfer via public speed boat to Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh, arriving by 1:00pm. In the afternoon you'll explore the city on a guided tour, visiting the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda complex built in 1866 in Khmer-style design. You'll also head to the Independence Monument and Wat Phnom Temple for city views, and learn about Cambodia's history at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.

You'll head to Battambang, stopping at the ancient Cambodian capital of Phnom Udong along the way. There you'll climb two large hills for countryside views and see impressive stupas that survived bombing. Next, you'll stop at a local pottery village in Kompong Chhnang famous for traditional Khmer pottery made for over 1,500 years. As evening arrives, you'll head to Phnom Sampeau Mountains to watch thousands of bats take flight from the caves at sunset.

Battambang to Siem Reap
You'll start with an 8km journey on a bamboo train through scenic countryside and rice fields, the simple transport locals created to move goods and people. Then you'll hike to the 11th-century temple of Phnom Banan, climbing 350-plus steps for peaceful countryside views at the top. In the afternoon you'll leave Battambang for Siem Reap, stopping in Puok District to learn about Cambodian silk production from mulberry harvesting to the silkworm life cycle.

Angkor Wat
You'll spend one full day at Angkor Wat, the world's largest temple complex. Start by visiting Angkor Thom's South Gate and Bayon Temple with its Elephant Terraces and 54 towers decorated with over 200 enormous smiling faces. Then head to Angkor Wat itself to see the impressive moat and outer gallery walls while your guide shares stories from Hindu mythology. Tonight you'll see Cambodia's talented performers at Phare Circus, a modern circus that helps young students and graduates earn a living.
