Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Samburu
Your safari kicks off with a pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport, followed by a 1.5-hour flight to Samburu. During the flight, you'll see Mt. Kenya and the Laikipia Plains spread out below. Once you land at Oryx Airstrip, your driver takes you to the lodge. After lunch and some time to settle in, you'll head out for a 2-hour game drive through the conservancy and Samburu National Park to start looking for wildlife.

Landmarks Mt. Kenya Samburu National Park Laikipia Plains - Day 2
Samburu
Get up early at 6:00am for a 4-hour game drive in the conservancy and Samburu Reserve, with breakfast served out in the field. You'll be searching for the Big Five while also keeping an eye out for the many bird species and other animals around. Back at the lodge by midday for lunch and some downtime. As evening comes, a camel walk takes you out to search for more wildlife and visit spots where sightings happen often. You'll watch the sunset with a drink before heading in for dinner.

Landmarks Samburu National Park - Day 3
Samburu
After breakfast, you check out at 8:00am and do a short game drive through the reserve. From there, you'll visit a local Samburu village or school to learn about how people live and their traditions. Lunch and afternoon relaxation happen back at the lodge. Once evening comes around, a guided bush walk takes you through the reserve where you can do some light hiking and see the landscape as the sun goes down. You'll finish with sundowners in the bush before returning.

Landmarks Samburu National Park - Day 4
Samburu to Nairobi
Your last morning in Samburu starts with an early breakfast. You check out in the early afternoon and fly back to Nairobi. From there, you'll be dropped at your hotel or airport depending on what works for your next travel plans.
