We did really interesting sightseeing of the places in the itinerary and saw beautiful natural places like Yala or Nuwara eliya. Tea plantations impressed us a lot . In Maldives the hotel was very good with lovely staff and close to the beach. A few excursions added some activities to our relaxing itinerary. - NMNorbert Hans· February 14th, 2025Advertised as a tour “make lifelong friendships”. Not true, we were on our own shuffled off on excursions with different people every time. Hotel was nice and the food was great but repetitious. But lack of hot water, not one good shower. Pool was filthy with algae. Excursion boats required a difficult water entry and exit over the bow via a thin runged ladder that hurt bare feet. No good swimming or beaches on island but excursions took us to see rays turtles sharks and a whale shark as well as nice beaches and good swimming and snorkeling. (Reef mostly dead or dying, and not many colorful fish to be seen). People were generally very nice and helpful. Advertised was that we would be met at the airport. No one met us. Half an hour after calling hotel someone came to inform us that we would have to wait in un-aircondioned airport with limited seating for 3 hours for our ferry to the island. A devastating start to a vacation. Although we enjoyed our time here, would not do it again. We spent some time at infinity pool on the top of the property,which was very relaxing. Bikini beach is very close and all the trips are safe and well - organized. If you just book a room from the resort for a week directly and select three snorkeling excursions, you would have an exact package with $500 saving per person at least.
