Itinerary
- Day 1
Santiago
Land at Santiago airport and get settled into your hotel. Once you're checked in, you'll head out to see the city. Start at Cerro San Cristóbal where the Virgin Mary statue sits high above the city with great views all around. After that, swing by La Moneda Palace for some photos of the exterior, then finish the day at Plaza de Armas in the heart of the city.

- Day 2
Santiago Wine Tour
You'll visit three different wineries today. Perez Cruz, Santa Rita, and Cousiño Macul are on the itinerary, so you'll get to walk through vineyards, see how wine is made, and taste several varieties. Santa Rita also has a museum with old relics worth checking out. The drive back to your hotel takes about an hour.

Valparaiso and Viña del Mar
Head out to the coast to see Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. In Valparaiso, you'll walk through Plaza Echaurren, check out the port area, and wander the old bank district before heading up to the colorful hills of Concepción and Alegre Hill. Later you'll get to Viña del Mar where the Fonck Museum and Anfiteatro Quinta Vergara gardens are waiting. Before heading back, there's time at Renaca Beach.

Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama
Fly from Santiago to Calama, then drive about an hour and a half to San Pedro de Atacama. After you settle in at your accommodation, head out to see Valle de la Luna with its landscape that really does look like the moon's surface. In the afternoon, you'll check out Dead Valley as well.

Atacama Desert and Salt Lakes
You're going into the Atacama Desert today to see the salt lakes. Start at Laguna Chaxa where flamingos hang out, then drive about an hour and a half to reach Micanti and Miñiques lagoons. You'll stop in the town of Socaire for lunch, walk around Toconao Village, and end with a short hike in Quebrada de Jerez.

- Day 6
Atacama Salt Lakes
This day focuses on three salt lakes in the Atacama. Laguna Cejar is about 30 minutes away and is the most famous. From there, continue about 15 minutes to Ojos del Salar, where two round lakes look like eyes on the landscape. Finish at Laguna Tebinquinche to see its salt lake and oasis setting.

- Day 7
Tatio Geysers and Machuca
Start early before sunrise with a packed breakfast in hand. Drive about an hour and a half to Tatio Geysers where you'll eat breakfast and see the geysers. After that, it's a 40-minute drive to Machuca, a small village where you can see how people live in traditional thatched cottages and get a feel for local life.
