I cannot say enough about my first trip with Tours of Distinction! Our tour guide, Lorraine, our tour director, Julie, our bus diver, Nick were beyond awesome! They were very accommodating and always at our beck and call! They were very personable, helpful and fun! Every minute was filled with eating great food, enjoying fun entertainment, meeting new beautiful people, visiting new places, enjoying pleasant rides across many breathtaking areas of the western part of our country while listening to the history of that area, and then resting comfortably in extremely nice accommodations every night! I will be taking another trip with this company!

There seem to be alot of confusion about our daily itinerary. It appeared that another bus load may not have been expected. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed all the events and visits to different places and saw so many amazing things. The driver was fantastic (Mike) and the guides, Jenny and Walter, we’re knowledgeable and very helpful. It did seem like we were on the bus more than we were seeing places. The hotels were nice and accommodating. Overall, enjoyed all the events and sights. It is a fast paced trip having to pack up every morning and usually eat and leave by 7:00 am. But, if you want to see things, that is what is required! People were nice and friendly.

It was an amazing trip. The only down side was the long, days which are hard on seniors. I would recommend extending the trips a day or two. if leaving early, get back to hotel a little earlier with more flexibility. The tour director Tanja was wonderfully knowledgeable as well as the bus driver, Ron., was an excellent driver. We were in bus 1 with Loretta also.

We were greatly disappointed with the organization of this trip through Tours of Distinction. Here are the reasons: (1) Tour was booked in January 2024. Web site advwetised small groups of 25 or less. Actual number of clients: 80 with two large busses with no WiFi - (2) Lack of Organizational skills and poor communication from Tours of Distinction. With 4 weeks before trip departure, I had to call Tours of Distinction 3 times for information of forthcoming trip. (3) Free airfare was included. Travelers would be better to purchase their own airfare. We purchased upgraded seats because of the seats that Tours of Distinction allocated were the last class, basic economy. (4) Bus number One had representative (contractor) from Tours of Distinction Our bus number 2 had one representative from ToD and one from Southwest Adventure Tours. (5) Confusing was monumental for the first two days, the agenda was changed on the fly. (6) Bus number one (40 people+-) always arrived at stops before us in bus number two which we were on. We endured long waits for bathrooms, food etc. I was told 3 weeks before the scheduled trip that the number of travelers had jumped to two busses and 80 +- tourist. My wife and I were extremely upset but committed to this trip. I was told by a rep at ToD that although there would be two busses, they would not travel together. The two busses traveled together We became a touring caravan. (7) On a positive note, the food and accommodations were acceptable. However, as seniors, 2 motels did not have any elevators and rooms were on the 2nd floor. For future considerations, seniors should always have a room on the first floor. (8) We left the hotels generally by 07:00 and did not arrive at our next hotel generally after 21:00. For all of us, seniors, it was an exhausting daily schedule. (9) The scenic sites stops made this trip. Truly beautiful National Parks Memories forever. ( 10) Our driver Mike W, Tour Director Ginny S and Wayne P were ””””” OUSTANDING””””” and were focused on the needs of the travelers on bus number two. There were frequent stops to accommodate the Seniors. (11) My wife and I will never recommend Tours of Distinction to our family or friends. I will also be submitting this review on Yelp. AGAIN I must emphasize that the itinerary planned for this trip was fantastic. The sites and scenery were beautiful. It’s unfortunate that this trip was planned for seniors. Very tiring and grueling. Pace needs to be slowed down.

There was a lot of confusion between local guide and tour director. Appeared to be very little if any advance planning. The local guide, Wayne, talked incessantly, some about which had no bearing on the tour. I understand there was a lot of ground to cover, but some days were 7am to 8 or 10 pm. Makes it hard to get enough rest. Most everyone I spoke to was exhausted by the end of the tour. The hotels were very nice to extremely nice. The welcome and farewell dinners were lackluster at best. Two of the lunch stops were at grocery stores of all places. The bus driver did get better at letting us depart the bus close to the entrances to attractions as opposed to the beginning. I did enjoy the attractions we visited and they were the highlight of the tour. In summary, communication is key and there is ample room for improvement.
