  Look at Egypt tours, (LAE) did not provide the listed, promised and paid for program and experiences. They appeared to be quite disorganized and unable or unwilling to communicate with their employees who were dealing with customers. Making things more confusing, a final itinerary was never provided, despite repeated requests and assurances it would be delivered. Unfortunately, the itinerary as understood (Full Itinerary and Trip Details) and trip brochures downloaded from the Tourradar site upon payment, was not adhered to and listed tours, hotels and extras not provided. We did receive, on arrival, a short outline of internal flights and locations with revised dates, but unfortunately no mention of tours, timetables, or other details. In Luxor, after arrival at 12:35, we were dropped off at the Sofitel with no guide or information. After having to wait the afternoon for our room, it was unfortunately substandard, dirty, and a 2 1/2 8 star at best. I have pictures. It was supposed to be 5 stars. There was no guide or representative of LAE there. We were on our own. The hotel offered us a different room at 11pm. The next day there was a balloon ride (extra payment), but guide Mohmmed Abu Elmagd booked a late flight, which was then delayed. That made it a scramble to get in our tour to the Luxor and Karnak temples and be on board for the cruise by 1pm (what was wrong with a tour on the day before?). We wouldn't have made it, but we, the customers, made the guide change transportation arrangements to meet the deadlines. The whole Luxor trip was fraught with disorganization and reasonable arrangements. Upon arrival in Aswan, we flew to Abu Simbel and returned at 2:25. We were supposed to stay at the old Cataract hotel, with dinner at 1902 restaurant and a felucca ride. This was according to itineraries form Tourradar (see above) and messages from Ahmed of LAE. On August 29, "we can make your stay in Aswan at the old Cataract hotel', and again on August 31, "the arrangements for your tour will be as follows - Nov.11, fly to Abu Simbel-old Cataract stay". We were not notified until Nov, 2, that the stay would be at Movenpick, not old Cataract. After checking out from the cruise in Aswwan, we were taken to Philae Island as per the itinerary but were then dropped off at the Movenpick at 10am instead of the full day tour. We did not go to the granite quarries, see the unfinished obelisk or get a sundown felucca ride as per the itinerary. When we stated this to guide Mohammed, he dismissed it, stating only that we already had a felucca ride, and that someone would pick us up at the hotel in the morning to take us to the airport. He then left us. We waited about 2 hours in the lobby for our room to be ready. (Should have still been on tour!) In the morning no one arrived, so after about 30 minutes, we, the customers, decided we had better get the ferry to the other side and proceed to try to locate our driver! This is not the service we paid for. These are some examples of the poor service and disorganization we experienced. Regarding Cairo - On August 31, Ahmed messaged me that 'the arrangements according to your tour will be as follows'-(Nov.3-6) "Mena House - Executive Partial Pyramid View Room". the room was Partial Pyramid View, but not Executive. The 'Special visit to the museum of Mummification" as mentioned in the introduction to the Full Itinerary and Trip Details did not take place. The other tours in Cairo were as purchased, but the guide was not told about the Pyramids camel ride, but made it happen. She was the best. Therefore, due to the poor execution of communication, hotels not as described and paid for, tours not given as paid for, transportation problems and general lack of attention to detail and care of us as customers, we are asking for a refund of $750 USD pp. That is a total of $1500 USD cash. This cannot make up for the chaos of the trip organization but will go some way to cover what was paid for and not received. Sincerely, Bonnie Fovinci and Dr. David wyllie

  To describe an Look at Egypt Tours requires one to speak in superlatives. My husband and I have traveled internationally for decades both as a part of tour groups and also on our own. We can honestly state that Look at Egypt tours and their team delivers a tour that goes above and beyond what anyone would expect. Other tour agencies provide their guests with only partial days of activities and move them through the sites alongside throngs of other tour agencies. This is not Look at Egypt creates their tour experiences. Their tours are limited in size and are in a class of their own! Let us start with the accommodations. While in Cairo, we feasted our eyes on the Great Pyramids of the Giza plateau daily as we ate breakfast and dinner at the Mena House unbelievably amazing. As you sit at your table along the serene reflecting pond, you gaze upon the ancient pyramids looming alongside the resort. In addition to the historic significance of the Mena House, the facilities and staff are 5-Star Plus. At the end of our tour and its return to Giza, we enjoyed the Four Seasons Hotel. Again, service and accommodations above and beyond all expectations. As for the Nile cruise part of the tour, the ship Sonesta St, George was spacious yet intimate…no throngs of hundreds of people. Another important factor during the entire tour, the food was always fresh and outstanding. As to the actual archeological sites that you will visit during your tour of Egypt, the company provides you with world-class experiences. You visit the Great Pyramids of Giza as the sun rises and before the crowds arrive…so serene and awesome. The same hassle-free experience happens with Saqqara, the pyramid builders’ tombs, Memphis, Dahshur, Valley of the Kings, and Valley of the Queens, etc. Now add in exclusive night-time visits to the temples of Luxor and Kom Ombo. This is only a sample of the amazing, “once in a lifetime” sites and experiences that you will encounter. Honestly, no words can do justice to the grand experiences that Look at Egypt tours provides each and every day of your tour. From morning through evening, you will be entertained and amazed. At the same time, one can opt out of a planned event if you just want to enjoy the amenities of the hotel or cruise ship during any particular part of the tour experience. The thing is, though, that it is all so fascinating that you won’t want to miss anything! It is one spectacular experience after another. Now let’s talk about the people. During the planning phase of your trip, you will work with the most fabulous and hard-working staff of agents in their office. No matter how many questions you may have or needs that you need met, they respond immediately, courteously, and with a sincerity to provide you with the best customer service ever. Now add to this an amazing actual archaeologist that is assigned to each tour group. We had Mostafa on our tour guide. Whether you joined the tour after doing your own in-depth or quick study of ancient Egypt, Mostafa always explained what we were experiencing in such a way that was entertaining, understandable, thorough, yet not causing one’s eyes to cross. Mahmmud, our tour coordinator, was amazing. Everything flowed beautifully. No matter the time of day, he was always available to handle anyone’s needs, special requests, etc., with a smile. He became everyone’s friend since he was so sincere. . Look at Egypt tours also always provides professional Security men. Everyone always felt perfectly safe during our entire tour. We definitely recommend Look at Egypt tours
