Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Baltra to Bachas Beach

    You'll arrive at Baltra Island and transfer to the Monserrat cruise ship. The ship then sails to Bachas Beach for your first time exploring the Galapagos. There you can swim in the clear waters and look for frigatebirds, blue-footed boobies, and sea lions hanging around the shore. Later in the day, you'll snorkel in the shallow waters off the white sand beach to see more marine life up close.

  2. Day 2

    Tagus Cove to Urbina Bay

    Head out to the remote western archipelago to check out Tagus Cove on Isabela Island, a historic spot where you'll climb up to Darwin's Lake. From there, snorkel to spot sharks, turtles, and colorful fish swimming around. After lunch, the group moves to Urbina Bay where you can see giant tortoises, land iguanas, and flightless cormorants. You'll also snorkel near penguin colonies and marine iguanas in this area.

    Espinoza Point to Vicente Roca Point

    Start your morning at Espinoza Point on Fernandina Island, the most western visitor site and one of the most untouched islands in the chain. Walk through tidal pools and see marine iguanas and sea lion colonies. In the afternoon, travel to Vicente Roca Point on Isabela Island for deep-water snorkeling in the rich Bolivar Channel. You'll spot green turtles, sharks, and rays in these waters.

    Santiago Island

    Explore Santiago Island starting with morning stops at Puerto Egas to see the salt crater, dark sand beach, and tidal pools. Next, head to Playa Espumilla, a nice beach with mangroves where flamingos and sea turtles nest. Later in the afternoon, visit Buccaneer Cove to see tall cliff formations and historic pirate hideout sites and landmarks.

    North Seymour to Santa Cruz Highlands

    Begin your morning on North Seymour Island following trails full of wildlife including sea lion colonies, blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, and pelicans. You'll also snorkel among sea lions and rays here. This afternoon takes you to the Santa Cruz highlands where you can see giant Galapagos tortoises in their natural setting and walk through underground lava tunnels carved into the volcanic rock.

    Visit Rábida Island this morning to check out its distinctive red sand beach, saltwater lagoon, and interior trails. Snorkel at the cliff wall to see deep-water marine life. In the afternoon, hike up to Bartholomé Island's summit for views across the islands. You'll spot the famous Pinnacle Rock and snorkel around this well-known volcanic formation.

    Land at South Plaza Island in the morning, one of the smallest islands but home to one of the largest land iguana populations. Walk through the cactus forest and look for red-billed tropicbirds and swallow-tailed gulls perched on the cliffs. During the afternoon, hike across Santa Fe Island to see the giant prickly pear cacti forest and endemic land iguanas that live there.

    Head to Isla Lobos this morning to explore by foot and boat, spotting sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and nesting frigate birds. Snorkel among families of sea lions and their playful pups in the water. During the afternoon, visit the Interpretation Center to learn about the Galapagos' volcanic origins and conservation work. After that, head up to Tijeretas Hill for panoramic views and frigate bird nesting colonies.

In the afternoon, sail to Punta Suárez on the western side of the island to explore bird colonies including the waved albatross (available April and December). You'll also enjoy cliff-top ocean views from this location.

    Visit Punta Cormorant on Floreana Island to see two unique beaches: one with green sand from olivine crystals and another white sand beach called Flour Beach. Snorkel at Champion Islet among playful sea lion colonies and marine life. Later, visit historic Post Office Bay where you can drop off and pick up letters, continuing an 18th-century whaler tradition.

Learn about the research station's conservation work and efforts to protect the islands' species. After that, you'll fly back to the Ecuador mainland.

    What is the promo code to get the 15% discount to $5712 price? What does it mean: +$590? What is the location on the boat for this discounted price?

    considering this tour but was wondering if you offered any PRE or POST trips to Amazon lodges like for 3-4 nights.....would like to explore there as well while we are in the area

      You can use either Quito or Guayaquil's airport for your flight to and from the Galapagos Islands. The wetsuit is $60 for the complete 12 day cruise.
