Itinerary
- Day 1
Vancouver
You'll arrive in Vancouver and head to your welcome meeting at 6 pm. If you're getting in early, there's time to walk through Yaletown's trendy streets or check out Granville Island's markets and shops. The city sits right on the water with mountains framing the harbour, so the views from almost anywhere downtown are pretty great.

Vancouver to Whistler
This morning you'll start at Stanley Park to see the totem poles, then drive north toward Whistler. The route includes a stop at Shannon Falls, and you'll spend time at the Squamish Lil'Wat Cultural Centre learning about First Nations heritage and art. After grabbing lunch at the cafe there, you'll continue to Whistler Village for an orientation walk around town. Evening has options for going out if you want.

Whistler
You have flexibility here. You can take the PEAK 2 PEAK gondola for the mountain views, try one of the walking trails, or grab food at a mountaintop restaurant. Alternatively, bike the Valley Trail out to Lost Lake, hike around the lake itself, or head to the Audain Art Museum to see First Nations and British Columbian works. The choice is yours depending on what appeals to you.

Whistler to Sun Peaks
You'll drive through the mountains to Sun Peaks, which sits on a peak with views all around. Pick between the Sunburst Loop hike if you want the full panorama, or take the shorter Shuswap Medicine Trail where you'll learn about local plants, animals, and First Nations uses of the land. Everyone meets back up for dinner together this evening.

Sun Peaks to Jasper
The drive takes you toward Jasper National Park, Canada's largest Rocky Mountain park and one of the most photographed areas in the country. You'll stop at Mt Robson Provincial Park for a short walk through wildflower fields, then continue into Jasper where you can wander the village and explore the area with several options available depending on your interests.

Jasper
You've got the day to yourself here. Join the group for a trip to Maligne Lake if you like, where there's hiking and an optional boat ride past Spirit Island, or strike out on your own to hike Mary Schaeffer Trail or Moose Lake Trail. You could also bike or walk around Beauvert Lake, or ride the Jasper SkyTram up for the views from above.

Jasper to Banff
This is a long driving day heading to Banff with several stops along the way. You'll see the Columbia Icefields Centre and Sunwapta Falls, and there's an optional glacier hike available if you want to do that. When you enter Banff National Park, you're entering Canada's oldest national park, where the Rocky Mountain landscape around you has been forming for millions of years.

Banff
Lake Louise is the focus today. You can do an easy walk along the waterfront or push yourself with a steeper hike up to Fairview Lookout for the mountain views. There's a tour of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise if that interests you. Later in the afternoon, head to Banff Upper Hot Springs to relax in the warm mineral water. More active options like canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, or gondola rides are available too.

Banff to Calgary
Before heading out of Banff, you'll meet with a Yellowstone to Yukon guide who'll talk about wildlife corridors that span from Yellowstone all the way north to Yukon and the conservation work happening there. After that, you drive to Calgary with a lunch stop in Canmore. Calgary is known for the Stampede and has developed a strong restaurant and bar scene over the years.
