Itinerary

Day 1
Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your hotel or airport pickup happens early morning, then you'll head to Wilson Airport for the scenic 45-minute flight over the Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara. After landing at the airstrip, it's a drive out to camp where you'll grab lunch around midday. By afternoon you're ready for your first game drive across the reserve, spotting wildlife before heading back for drinks and dinner at camp.

If you book the hot air balloon option, you'll leave camp at 5:15 AM for a one-hour flight over the plains, then enjoy champagne bush breakfast prepared right there in the field. A game drive brings you back to camp after, so you can rest through the late morning before lunch. The afternoon brings another game drive, then dinner back at camp.

Masai Mara to Nairobi
An early morning game drive at sunrise gets you out while animals are active, then breakfast happens back at camp. You'll have a late morning game drive and lunch, after which it's time to head to the airstrip for your 4:00 PM flight back to Nairobi (arriving 5:00 PM). From Wilson Airport you're taken to dinner (you'll pay the restaurant directly), then transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.

You are only booking a seat on a 4x4 vehicle. We had 2 different guides/drivers in the 4 days. We were in a vehicle with other people who had booked with different companies. As there was multiple companies all using the same vehicle there was multiple lodge pick ups. This caused the start and end drop offs to take quite a while. Accommodation was good, packed lunches were good. The first guide/driver was ok. The second guide/driver "smart" was amazing! He did everything he could so we could see as much as possible.

The trip was fantastic. Lots of animals and vast Savana country. Our guide Simon was exceptional. He has a great knowledge of the park and the animals, is a very good driver and very friendly and humble. We stayed at Rhino Tourist camp which has everything you need.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before February 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Gracepatt Ecotours Kenya. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Gracepatt Ecotours Kenya will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
