  Excellent service from Classic journeys! Ruth listened to our needs and make great recommendations to fit in with our wishes and time constraints. Only wish we had a day longer to see more but we had a great time in the Masaai Mara. Everything was as promised. It can be 'risky' paying everything in advance but CJ is a trustworthy organisation. Ruth was in contact via whatsapp and quickly responded to any questions while planning our itinerary. We were met at the airport on arrival and transferred to Wilson airport for our connecting flight. The guide, Lawrence was waiting for our plane and within minutes of leaving the airport we had already spotted some of the Big 5. Lawrence was a courteous and excellent guide and a skilled driver. He was professional at all times and we felt comfortable especially on the drive back to Nairobi. Sadly we saw some very bad behaviour from other drivers which was having a negative impact on the animals especially a leopard and a cheetah family trying to hunt. We witnessed vehicles going off road between lionesses and their cubs putting the cubs at risk of being hit by a vehicle. We saw a car damaging bushed in a thicket so the gawking tourist could get a closeup photo of a lion resting. We were relieved to see that Lawrence was equally as appalled at the behaviour! We felt comfortable that we had chosen a responsible tour operator who respected the wildlife and their environment.

  What an awesome experience! Chris and Nick were amazing guides! Nick was so knowledgeable about the Mara and the animals. He was determined to show us everything we wanted to see and for that we're so grateful! He went above and beyond in ensuring we could see everything! We ended up seeing 4 out of the Big 5, but it was still AMAZING!

  My mother and I went for a girls trip to Masai Mara National Park. We stayed at Loyk Mara Luxury Camp for 5 days and 4 nights. Overall it was the most amazing experience we’ve ever had! Our Tour guide, Charles Lepatoiye, was exceptional! He worked so hard for us to have the best experience possible! First of all he was a great navigator and driver, he made even the bumpy roads feel pleasant. Secondarily he was great at spotting and animal tracking. We saw the big five and so many more animals! In addition he had so much knowledge about different species, Masai culture and much much more! He spoke fluent English, Swahili as well as Maa (Masai language). He had a great sense of humor and told us many interesting stories and made such an effort in order for us to have a comfortable travel! We are overwhelmed by his efforts and feel like we’ve gotten a new friend! We will be coming back and when we do there’s only one guide we would want, Charles! - Anne and Marlene from Norway.

  Classic Journeys Africa has planned a perfect trip for us. Charles was extremely helpful and patient at the planning stage. Our guide and driver, ***Dicks***on, arrived on time, was extremely knowledgeable, spotted all the animals from miles away and did whatever he could to make our trip as wonderful as possible (that includes spotting The Big 5 and having a picnic in the savanna)! We stayed 1 night at Nakuru at Sara Lion Hill - nice lodge with a pool. And 2 nights at Loyk Mara Camp at Masai Mara - great place to stay!!!
