Itinerary
- Day 1
Phuket/Krabi to Khao Sok National Park
You'll arrive at Phuket or Krabi International Airport where your tour rep will be waiting. The drive to Khao Sok National Park takes about 2.5 hours, and there's a lunch stop along the way. Once you check in at your hotel, you'll have the early afternoon to explore the park itself. The limestone cliffs and lakes are the main draw here, and if you're lucky you might spot elephants, leopards, or gibbons moving through the valleys and caves. Head back to the hotel as evening comes to wind down.

Khao Sok
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll set out early to Cheow Lan Lake. This massive lake sits surrounded by tall limestone cliffs with clear water that's really something to see. You'll take a boat across the water, do a light jungle trek, and check out one of the caves. Lunch happens at a local spot before heading back to the resort in the afternoon for some downtime.

Khao Sok to Khanom
Following breakfast, you'll leave Khao Sok early and head toward Surat Thani with a stop at Phra Boromathat Temple in Chaiya on the way. Once in Surat Thani, you'll transfer to the pier for a motorized long-tail boat ride down River Tapi, which is the longest river in Southern Thailand. The hour-long trip gives you a chance to see waterfront houses and how locals live along the water. After lunch in town, you'll visit Tham Khao Wang Thong cave to see the stalactites before transferring to your Khanom hotel.

Khanom to Phatthalung
You'll grab breakfast and then head to Nakhon Si Thammarat early in the morning. Wat Phra Mahathat is on the agenda, a temple that's possibly been around since the 11th century. From there you'll stop at the Shadow Puppet Museum and visit the home of a shadow puppet master named Suchart Subsin to learn about the regional shadow theatre tradition. Lunch comes next, then you'll drive to Baan Kiri Wong village to spend time with locals and take in the creek and mountain scenery. You'll arrive in Phatthalung by late afternoon.

Phatthalung to Trang
Wake up early to see Thale Noi Lake and spot different bird species. If it's the right season, you'll see water lilies and lotus flowers covering the lake. After that you'll go back to the resort for breakfast, then head toward Trang with a lunch break at a local restaurant. The afternoon brings a visit to Tham Le Khao Kob cave in Huai Yot district, which is a different kind of cave experience since you navigate through a stream and past stalagmites and stalactites. Sometimes you'll need to lie flat in the boat to get through. You'll reach Trang by afternoon.

Trang to Krabi
After eating breakfast at your hotel, you'll head early to Pak Meng Pier to start island hopping. The day includes visits to Koh Kradan, Koh Mook, and Koh Chuak, and if the weather cooperates you'll check out the Emerald Cave. You'll relax on white sand beaches with clear water and have lunch on the boat. Later you'll head back to Pak Meng Pier and continue on to Krabi in the afternoon.

Krabi to Krabi International Airport
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll transfer early to Tara Pier for a short five-minute boat ride to Koh Klang island. Once there, you'll explore Baan Koh Klang village by tuk-tuk, visiting rice fields, a local boat-crafting house, and a batik fabric painting workshop. Lunch is a Thai set meal at a local restaurant, then you'll take a long-tail boat through the mangrove forest. By around 3:00 pm you'll be back on the mainland and heading to Krabi International Airport for your onward travel.
