Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok to Ayutthaya to Kamphaeng Phet
Start early with a pickup from Bangkok and head to Ayutthaya to see the ancient temple ruins scattered across the old city. You'll visit Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, Wat Phanan Choeng, and Wat Mahathat, each with their own character and history. After walking through the temples, you'll take a longtail boat around the island ruins to get a different perspective of the area. From there, drive to Kamphaeng Phet and check into your hotel, leaving the rest of the afternoon free to rest or explore on your own.

Kamphaeng Phet to Lampang to Chiang Mai
After breakfast, travel north to Lampang to see Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, a large hilltop temple complex built in the Lanna style with seven different buildings spread across the grounds. You'll climb up the naga staircase to reach the main shrine area where a bronze Buddha statue sits under a golden chedi. Then drive on to Chiang Mai with lunch along the way. Once you arrive, the rest of the day is yours to do as you please. Optional activities include getting a Thai massage or attending a khantoke dinner in the evening with traditional cultural performances.

- Day 3
Chiang Mai
Following breakfast, head up the mountain to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, which sits above Chiang Mai and offers views out over the city and surrounding area. You can climb the 309-step naga staircase at your own pace or take the included cable car if you prefer not to walk. Later you'll explore San Kamphaeng Road, a 10km stretch lined with shops selling locally-made items like pottery, silverware, and silk. You'll get to see artisans working in their studios before having lunch with local specialties. After that, head back to your hotel with free time in the afternoon.

- Day 4
Chiang Mai to Lamphun to Sukhothai
Start the day with breakfast, then travel to Lamphun to visit Wat Phra That Hariphunchai, a temple that's been standing for over a thousand years and holds significant importance in northern Thailand. The temple contains impressive Buddha statues and several stupas, including a 46-metre golden chedi that dominates the skyline. From there, continue south to Sukhothai Historical Park, where you'll explore the ruins of Thailand's first capital established in the 13th century. This UNESCO World Heritage Site contains nearly 200 buildings total, with dozens of temples split between those inside and outside the old walls and moat.

- Day 5
Sukhothai to Lopburi to Bangkok
After breakfast, leave Sukhothai and head south toward Lopburi, a historic city known for its population of macaques that roam freely around town. You'll visit Phra Prang Sam Yot, ancient temple ruins built by the Khmer, and the nearby Brahman shrine of San Phra Kan, commonly called the 'Monkey Temple' because of the monkeys living there. Stop for lunch en route back to Bangkok, then finish with a hotel drop-off to end the tour.
