Itinerary
- Day 1
Launceston
You'll arrive in Tasmania before 4:30pm. If your flight gets in early, there's time to walk through Launceston and see the Victorian architecture scattered throughout the historic center. The Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery is worth a visit if you have a couple of hours, or head straight to Cataract Gorge for some hiking or a swim. There's also a chairlift here that's quite long if you want views of the area. Later this evening you'll meet your Travel Director and the rest of your group before things kick off tomorrow.

Launceston to Bicheno
Start at Bridestowe Lavender Estate to see how they've been growing and processing lavender since 1922. You can watch the oil extraction happen and try their homemade lavender ice cream if it's in season. After wandering through the lavender fields, you'll head to Legerwood Carved Memorial Trees, which honors Tasmanian soldiers from World War I. Grab lunch in St. Helens, then follow the East Coast down to Bicheno. Before bed, take a short walk to see Little Penguins in their natural environment.

- Day 3
Bicheno to Maria Island
You'll spend four hours on a cruise around Freycinet Peninsula with a local guide. The boat passes waterfalls, sea caves, and the tall pink granite cliffs as you head toward Schouten Island. You'll anchor in Wineglass Bay where lunch happens right there on the water, and you might spot sea eagles, dolphins, seals, or whales. After the cruise, drive through eucalypt forests to Cape Tourville, pass through Swansea and Triabunna, then arrive at your hotel which overlooks Maria Island.

Maria Island to Sorell
Richmond's historic township has a convict-built goal and bridge if that interests you, plus boutique shops to browse. The main event is a food walk at Risdon Cove led by palawa guides. You'll walk through the landscape learning about Aboriginal history and land management while tasting native bush tucker. Later you head to Iron Creek Bay Farm, a working farm with 70 hectares of orchards where you can pick fruit and enjoy meals made with fresh local produce.

Sorell to Hobart
Travel to Port Arthur Historic Site with a local guide. You'll cross Eaglehawk Neck onto the Tasman Peninsula, then take a cruise around the Isle of the Dead before touring the penal settlement itself. Walk through the ruins, cathedral, and cells while learning about the site's history as both a timber station and convict prison. On the way back to Hobart, stop at Pirate's Bay Lookout to see the dramatic cliffs and unique rock formations like Tasman's Arch and the Blowhole.

Hobart
You've got your final full day in Hobart to do what you'd like. The Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery has over 800,000 objects if you want to spend a few hours there, so it's worth checking out. If you're in the mood for something different, there are optional activities like taking a cruise around Bruny Island, booking a scenic flight over South West Tasmania, or hiking up Mount Wellington if you have the energy. Later in the evening, head to Mures Upper Deck for seafood dinner with views out over Constitution Dock. It's a nice way to wrap up your time in the city.

Hobart Departure
After breakfast, you'll head to Hobart Airport for your onward flight. This morning is your chance to reflect on the trip with your group and say goodbye to the people you've met over the past week before heading home.
