Itinerary
- Day 1
Bhubaneswar to Bhitarakanika National Park
You'll start by driving from Bhubaneswar toward Bhitarakanika National Park, making stops along the way to check out ancient Buddhist sites at Ratnagiri, Udaigiri, and Lalitgiri. These ruins give you a sense of the region's history before you reach the park. Once you arrive at Bhitarakanika, you'll settle into a jungle cottage or tent and spend your first night surrounded by wildlife like estuarine crocodiles, water monitor lizards, and king cobras.

Bhitarakanika to Similipal Tiger Reserve
After breakfast, head out on a boat safari through the mangrove forests where you'll spot estuarine crocodiles and various bird species around Bagagahan Bird Sanctuary. Later, visit the Crocodile Museum at Dangamal to learn more about what lives in this region. From there, you'll drive to Similipal Tiger Reserve and check into your jungle cottage or tent for the night.

Similipal Tiger Reserve
This morning you'll go on a jeep safari through Similipal Tiger Reserve, where you might see tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and elephants across different landscapes including Khairiburu and Maghasini peaks and Ganapati's rocky cliffs. The afternoon gives you free time to rest and relax before dinner and your overnight stay in the reserve.

Similipal Tiger Reserve to Bhubaneswar
