Itinerary
- Day 1
Bhubaneswar
You'll land at Bhubaneswar Airport and start checking out the temples scattered around the city. The morning and afternoon take you through Rajarani, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar, Brahmeswar, and Lingaraj Temples, each with their own architectural style. After that, you'll head to the ancient rock-cut caves at Khandagiri and Udaigiri, which date back centuries. The day wraps up with a stop at the Dhauli peace pagoda before heading to your hotel.

- Day 2
Bhubaneswar to Bhitarakanika
An early start takes you on a drive through scenic countryside toward Bhitarakanika, passing the excavated Buddhist sites of Ratnagiri, Udaigiri, and Lalitgiri along the way. You'll arrive and settle into either a jungle cottage or tent depending on your preference. Later in the afternoon or evening, you can take a boat safari through the mangrove forest, keeping an eye out for estuarine crocodiles and kingfishers that call this area home.

- Day 3
Bhitarakanika to Similipal
The day starts at Bagagahan Bird Sanctuary where you'll climb up to the watchtower for panoramic views across the landscape. From there it's a good opportunity to spot different bird species, and binoculars are definitely worth having. Later, you'll travel to Similipal Tiger Reserve and get settled at your jungle cottage or tent. Once you're checked in, you can take some time to get oriented with the reserve, which is known for its tiger and leopard population, including the rare melanistic tigers.

Similipal Tiger Reserve
Before sunrise, you'll head out on a Jeep safari through Similipal Tiger Reserve with a guide. The early morning hours are when wildlife tends to be most active, and you might spot tigers, leopards, and various other animals in their natural environment. After you return and grab breakfast, the rest of your day is relaxed. You'll have time to hang around your jungle cottage or tent, process what you've seen, and enjoy the quiet of the reserve.

Similipal to Kolkata
You'll leave the wildlife reserves behind and make the journey to Kolkata. The drive takes several hours, so it's a good time to reflect on everything you've experienced in the more remote areas. Once you arrive and check into your hotel, you'll have time to settle in and rest after the travel day, maybe grab dinner nearby.

Kolkata
Today focuses on Kolkata's history and culture. You'll walk through Fort William's colonial architecture, then head to the Victoria Memorial with its white marble structure. Next comes New Market for some shopping, and the nearby Malik Ghat flower market where vendors sell vibrant arrangements. After that, you'll see St. Paul's Cathedral, check out the famous Howrah Bridge, and finish at Dakshineswar Kali Temple. It's a full day covering the city's different layers from colonial times to present day.
