Itinerary
- Day 1
San Juan
You'll arrive in San Juan and head to your hotel to settle in. After lunch, a guide takes you through downtown to see the Sarmiento Birthplace and Juan Victoria Auditorium, then you head west into Quebrada de Zonda where the landscapes really open up (wine tasting is available if you want it). Stop by Campos de Olivos to watch how they make traditional olive oil, and end the day at Dique de Ullum where you can take in views of the reservoir with the mountains in the background.

Valle Fértil
After breakfast you'll drive out toward Valle Fértil, making a stop at the Difunta Correa shrine along the way. Check into Hostería Valle Fértil and then spend the early afternoon exploring Ischigualasto Provincial Park, also called the Valley of the Moon. Once evening hits, you go back out for a moonlit tour of the park so you can see how those unusual rock formations look when they're lit up by the moon.

Talampaya and Return to San Juan
Following breakfast, you'll head to Talampaya National Park to see the tall red cliffs and check out some archaeological sites. From there you drive back toward San Juan on National Route 150, passing through the Cuesta de Huaco area which has some nice scenery. You'll get back to San Juan around 8:00 PM and check into your hotel.

Departure from San Juan
You'll have breakfast one last time, then check out from the hotel. After that, it's time to head to the airport or bus terminal to catch your departure and wrap up your time in San Juan.
