- AEija Mayhew· October 15th, 2022The Multi Stan tour was an incredible mix of experiences, from the mountain homestays to the time warp of Kyrgyzstan, the awe-inspiring landscape of the yurt stays to the historical beauty of Khiva and Samarkand. Each country that we visited was so different from the first.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for sharing your feedback. - APeter Bensimon· September 30th, 2022To be perfectly honest, I was not particularly enthusiastic about undertaking this trip because I thought being taken to watch felt-making, admiring the tallest flag-pole in Central Asia, visiting endless mosques, seeing a sunken forest, visiting a park in Almaty, sleeping in yurts, eating local food, and being taken to WWII war memorials, would bore me to tears, and at the age of 76 I was slightly concerned about whether or not the planned hikes would be too arduous, but I have to confess that I was completely mistaken, for this was one of the most stunning, exciting, and unforgettable travel experiences I have ever experienced, and I say this as a seasoned traveller who has visited many countries in all five continents.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewMany thanks for your feedback! - AMatthew Bean· September 9th, 2022I've travelled with intrepid many times and now I will try and use gadventures if possible. The guide was great and very attentive with customers. The main difference is first when we get to places with intrepid the guide would then not be around for a couple of days as we had 'freetime', whereas gadventures our guide was with us the majority of the time. Second, with intrepid, sometimes you go to overpriced bad restaurants where clearly the guide is getting lots of kickback; with gadventures our guide took us to the best places to eat because he is professional and not greedy! The guide, the itinerary and planning by gadventures was exemplary so thanks.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for your feedback! - ACharles Pennington· April 9th, 2022These last 23 days offered a comprehensive overview of the four stan countries. Exotic markets, historic monuments, religious sites, unusual food, unbelievable vistas in the mountains. Wonderful friendly people, did not speak english but did everything to help you out. Were excited to know that Americans were visiting their country. In my group of 14, there were 3 Americans. The mix of other nationalities in the group made it fun and educational. Of course, the guide, Lochin, made all of the difference.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewGreat to hear! - AStephanie Wright· March 10th, 2022Central Asia was a complete surprise. I expected grinding poverty, some pretty scenery and a few rundown but interesting sites. Instead, the countries are vibrant with their natural mineral and oil wealth being clearly spent on improving the quality of life of their populations. The scenery was stunning and the sites, in many cases, were immaculate and ?jaw-droppingly? magnificent.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewOur world deserves more you!Trip date: August 2022Review collected by G Adventures

Asked on May 29th, 2025When is the first tour in 2026? Is Turkmenistan an average place while other 4 Stans are more interesting?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
Each of the five Stans offer a unique experience and Turkmenistan is actually described as the most unusual and intriguing of the Stans. While it may be less visited than other Stans, this doesn't mean it's any less interesting :)

Jay
Asked on May 7th, 2025What is the highest elevation of this tour. How much hiking and treking and altitude.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
This tour has a physical rating level of 3, which is open to travellers of all fitness levels. Due to this, the hiking is not significantly long, and will be more like optional light hiking. You will not need to bring hiking shoes necessarily, just something you are comfortable in walking in. In regards to elevation, I am not sure of the highest altitude. Again this is not significant and would not be in zones that risk altitude sickness.

Asked on April 18th, 2025What procedures to get Turkmenistan visa and What would happen if Turkmenistan decline your visa application?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
You will have to fill a LOI (Letter of Invitation) form and we will take care of the visa process. You will then obtain your visa once arrived at the border during the tour. As long as you provide all of your information, the visa will not be declined
