  1. Day 1

    Vancouver

    You'll arrive in Vancouver, the seaport city between mountains and ocean. After settling in, you'll join your Travel Director for a welcome dinner and wine reception where you'll meet the other travelers on this trip.

  2. Day 2

    Vancouver to Victoria

    This morning starts at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park where you'll walk the original 1889 bridge, the Cliffwalk, and Treetops Adventure. Later, an orientation tour covers Gastown, Canada Place, and Stanley Park's First Nations totem poles. By afternoon you'll board a ferry through the Gulf Islands heading to Victoria.

    Victoria

    You'll check out Butchart Gardens, the National Historic Site with its gardens and seasonal flowers. After that, your Travel Director leads an orientation tour with views from Mount Tolmie, the Inner Harbour, Parliament Buildings, and Chinatown. The rest of the afternoon is free to wander around on your own.

    You'll ferry across the Strait of Georgia and head through British Columbia on the Coquihala highway. The route climbs to Coquihala Pass and crosses Thompson Plateau through spruce, pine, and fir forests. After arriving in Sun Peaks, you'll have dinner at your hotel.

    Sun Peaks to Jasper National Park

    After breakfast you'll travel the legendary Yellowhead Highway toward Jasper National Park. Along the way you'll stop at Mount Robson Visitor Center in Mount Robson Provincial Park to see Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 12,972 ft. Later you'll arrive in Jasper for an orientation tour of the park, its hot springs, glaciers, and mountains.

    Jasper National Park to Icefields Parkway

    You'll walk trails through Maligne Canyon then take a narrated cruise on Maligne Lake, stopping at Spirit Island. The drive south follows the Icefields Parkway to Columbia Icefield and Glacier View Lodge. Later you'll get an after-hours visit to the Glacier Skywalk and dinner with wine.

    Icefields Parkway to Banff

    After breakfast a Local Expert leads a before-hours glacier tour on Athabasca Glacier using Ice Explorer vehicles. You'll step onto the ice, learn about the geology, and have a warm drink while standing on the glacier. Later you'll drive to Lake Louise to see its blue waters and Victoria Glacier, then continue to Banff for dinner and a two-night stay.

  10. Day 10

    Glacier National Park

    You'll board a private Red Jammer bus for a narrated drive along Going-To-The-Sun Road, the only road through Glacier National Park. The route shows Logan Pass and the park's interior. At Lake McDonald you'll disembark for the Legends of Glacier performance with Jack Gladstone, a Blackfeet Nation artist sharing the park's history through story and music.

Later your Travel Director hosts a farewell dinner with wine at Ivar's Salmon House on the Seattle waterfront.

    completed a trip to the Canadian Rockies September this year . We had Ben Hutchinson as our tour director and Owen Cu as the driver. If you can ever request this combination to take you around ....do yourself a favour and request them. Ben is knowledgeable and customer service is fabulous. Owen kept he coach clean at every opportunity and his driving was comfortable and safe.
