- SWSandra· June 9th, 2025Our tour was great fun. Our tour guide David, made the experience interesting and entertaining. He shared history without being boring, He also did a great job of connecting the people on the tour. We had people from Canada, Australia, the US, and more. Everyone had a great time from touring the villages to listening to traditional music, We highly recommend this tour. We hope you are lucky enough to get David as your guide.Show moreTrip date: May 2025

- Jessica· October 5th, 2024This was a great way to experience Ireland as a first time visitor. Our guide (Hugh) was fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable and kind and willing to share his personal experiences, really highlighting life in Ireland. I enjoyed getting a couple opportunities where we stayed in the same hotel two nights in a row, gave you a little time to settle in.Show moreOverland Ireland - Small Group Tours commented on this reviewThank you for your lovely review, Jessica! - DHDian· September 15th, 2024The tour was very good but it didn’t start out that way. When we showed up on the first day, the bus driver did NOT have our names on his list. The driver called his company “Overland tours” to ask about us. It took 20 nervous minutes for us to find out that we were in the list, just not the list the driver had. The issue they said was caused because we had booked with a third party (tourradar). It now makes sense why we didn’t receive any information from Overland. There were quite a few differences in itineraries between what was advertised by Tourradar and what was actually delivered by Overland tours. The price was great, we loved the tour, but as a third party I would take more interest in making sure your registrants are receiving the information from the tour operator to make sure this doesn’t happen to someone else. I also suggest that you confirm the itinerary prior to posting so that people can have confidence in what they are purchasing is what they will be receiving.Show moreTrip date: September 2024
- AAnonymous· September 15th, 2024Overland is a wonderful company to book your Ireland adventure with. It is a legit company and the real deal:) We booked a private family tour (six American adults) with a customized itinerary to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary and a birthday. Liz was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. She was mindful about creating an itinerary that matched our bucket list "must-dos" as well as providing suggestions and coordinating all of our accommodations. She was very responsive to all of our emails. Mark, our guide, really made the trip special. He quickly became part of the family. He gave us a real feel of what Ireland hospitality is all about. He added jewels to our stops that we were not expecting. Because we were a small group, private tour, he proactively was able to switch some activities around to align with the weather. He was able to offer great suggestions on restaurants, pubs, and things we might be interested in during our free time. Booking with Overland really took away all of the stress with planning an international group trip. We highly recommend them and will book trips to Ireland with them in the future.Show moreTrip date: July 2024

- Jon· June 13th, 2024Overall it was very good. The difficulties I encountered in getting to Dublin which resulted in my missing the first day of the tour and being exhausted when I joined he tour on its second day were not the fault of the tour company. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. I think staying at hotels for two days instead of one would make the tour less hectic. But, the hotels were good and the sites we visited were very interesting.Show moreOverland Ireland - Small Group Tours commented on this reviewHello Jon, thank you very much for your review. - NNNancy· June 3rd, 2024Our guide, Cathal, was excellent. He is personable, caring about all guests experience and full of facts about history. He’s definitely an asset to your company. My only critiques are these: 1. Bus door malfunctioned multiple times daily by not opening or closing. The potential for injury/death in the event of an auto accident was very real. 2. The microphone did not work so we had a week’s ride without an ongoing commentary of what we were seeing in real time. That defeats the purpose of a tour rather than driving oneself. Cathal indicated that he reported it to the company and someone was supposed to come check the bus after our first day but no one ever came to repair it. 3. Air conditioning did not always work.Show moreOverland Ireland - Small Group Tours commented on this reviewThank you for your valuable feedback. We're glad you enjoyed Cathal's guidance. We apologize for the bus door, microphone, and air conditioning issues. Safety and comfort are paramount, and we're working to address these concerns promptly. We appreciate... Asked on April 25th, 2025Is there an extra cost when traveling solo?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written April 2025
We have a single supplement of €464 which guarantees a private ensuite room for the duration of your tour. Solo travelers make up around a third of our guests.

Asked on April 22nd, 2025additional charge for single room? would you pair up me in double room? when to arrive dublin? is the end point close by international airport to fly back to HK? Available for May 21-28?? can I take luggage with 23 kg
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written April 2025
The additional charge for a private single room is approx €464. This guarantees your own private ensuite bedroom for the duration of the trip. Unfortunately, we don't offer a room-sharing option with fellow travellers you haven't booked with. The tour begins at 8:00 AM on the first day, so depending on your flight schedule, I would recommend arriving in Dublin on May 20th to ensure you're ready for the early start. On the final day of your adventure, we'll say our goodbyes and your guide will drop you off at Heuston Train Station in Dublin. From there, it's approximately a 30-minute journey to Dublin International Airport. I'm also pleased to confirm that we do currently have availability for the May 21st departure! You're welcome to bring luggage up to 23kg. We also recommend bringing a small daypack to carry your essentials during the day, so you won't need to access your main bag frequently.

Asked on April 16th, 2025can you book extra nights same hotel Dublin pre and post tour can you book airport transport?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written April 2025
Unfortunately, we do not offer pre or post tour accommodation. I would recommend the Aishling or the Castle Hotel. The Aishling is right beside where you get dropped off and picked up. We can provide airport transfer but is it €150 each way for up to 9 people.

Traveler•Written April 2025How large is the vehicle you mentioned- the Mercedes V class?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written April 2025
A Mercedes V-Class is a 7 seater with great space for everyone. It's a luxury vehicle with nice seats. We would also have a 9 seater Mercedes Sprinter, which is amazing as well. The V-Class would probably be more suited for smaller groups.

Asked on April 2nd, 2025Would you please advise information on luggage restrictions.
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written April 2025
For the tour bus, we would ask you to try to pack as lightly and mindfully as possible. The max dimensions we would suggest would be 76cm/48 cm OR 30 inches/19 inches (70L backpack) – this size suitcase would be considered a large size universally. We just want to ensure all guests can fit their luggage on the bus comfortably! We also suggest packing a rucksack/backpack for day-to-day necessities while on tour. Something you can bring while hiking or while you are off the bus.

Dave
Asked on February 13th, 2025Would it be best to arrive a few days before the tour to tour Dublin or a few days after the tour?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written February 2025
Most people arrive two days early so they can get used to the new time zone and explore Dublin and have one night after the tour leaves in Dublin.
- J
John
Asked on January 14th, 2025How can I find pricing for one person?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written January 2025
We don't have any departures scheduled for March. You can find detailed information about our tours, including pricing for solo travelers, on our website. Simply select the tour you're interested in, and you'll see the pricing breakdown, including the single supplement for traveling solo.

Asked on December 17th, 2024Is the cost of the first night in the hotel covered or not? If not, how much is it, and is there a choice of hotels? If we book our own flights, how do we get met at the airport?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written December 2024
We do not provide airport transfer but we are more than happy to pass along some recommendations. There are shuttle buses available to bring you to the city centre or you could also take a taxi or an uber which are available from outside the terminals. We do not provide pre tour accommodation but we would be happy to pass along some recommendations. The Ashling Hotel is always a good choice as this is the departure point for the tour on day 1 however if you were looking to be more central to the city we can recommend The Morgan, The Castle Hotel and The Temple Bar Inn.

Asked on December 15th, 2024Are accommodations in Dublin included? If my partner and I would like to stay the night before departure and the day of return arrival at the Ashly Hotel, what would be the cost? What about another nice, but less expensive hotel in Dublin? How much additional to the tour price?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written December 2024
We dont have any rates with them but what I know is that booking on their website is the best way. However if you feel the cost is too high, other hotels are only a short taxi ride from the Ashling hotel, so maybe Euro 10 or so depending on where. I think the Castle Hotel, The Alex, The Morgan are all great options as well.
