    · August 5th, 2025
This was a great tour! Our guide, Marlene, was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the places we visited and had an incredible grasp on the history of Ireland. She went out of her way to make sure that everyone had a fantastic trip. We also had nice group dynamics. I was surprised at how many places we were able to visit.

Our overall experience was very positive and our guide Brendan was wonderful. The stops on the tour were as advertised, well run on time and covered a large amount of a country we'd never visited before. Our only not as positive experience would be with the Granville Hotel in Waterford. The food was not very good, the elevator was exceedingly tiny that you could barely have 2 people with suitcases in it, and the bathroom faucets are off the age that they're are separate spigots for hot and cold making it difficult to regulate temperatures as they were also not close enough to mix the water streams in the sink.

We did the Irish Gold tour (with extra day in Dublin) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good pace, some free time, plus food provided as part of the tour was very good too. Our tour guide Marion Kelly was excellent, along with our driver Martin Dempsey!

This was our first guided tour. My wife and I usually plan our trips, and travel on our own. I wasn't sure how I would like this. I must say CIE surpassed all my expectations. Our tour guide Marlene went above and beyond to make everything work flawlessly. Our driver Martin was very professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend CIE to anyone traveling to Ireland. And would definitely consider touring with CIE again.

Our CIE Tour was incredible. Our tour director, Tommy =, was the best. He gave great information and insight all along the way. Our driver, Martin, maneuvered the roads as a real pro. The tour was a great mix of beautiful landscapes and sites along with great times in pubs with great Irish music. A memorable trip of a lifetime! Our favorite!

I am interested in the Irish Gold 8 days/7 Nights tour, July 10, 2024 to July 17, 2024. Our group is 6 adults, and two children, ages 14 and 9. Is there availability? What would the overall cost be? If we arrived in Dublin on July 9th, can you extend us the same arrival hotel? We like the idea of the small group tour. For our reference, what are the additional destinations on the tour with 15 destinations?

The tour cost for that date is 2,945.00 per person. This is not a small group tour so it would have a maximum of 44 passengers. We currently have a pre-night available it would be $261.00 per room, $1044.00 total for 4 rooms. The 9-day version of tour has an additional day in Dublin at the end.
