Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

    You'll be picked up from Tribhuvan International Airport or a Kathmandu bus station and driven to your hotel. After getting settled in, your tour leaders will go over the trip details and handle required documents. The evening is yours to either walk around the city or stay at the hotel. Try some local Nepali dishes while you're here.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu

    After breakfast, your tour leader will walk you through what's on the agenda for the day. You'll spend the full day seeing around Kathmandu, checking out historic temples and architecture plus UNESCO World Heritage sites throughout the valley. Stop for lunch somewhere local and try different cuisines as you go.

  3. Day 3

    Kathmandu to Pokhara

    A deluxe air-conditioned bus takes you to Pokhara on a scenic 7-hour drive with mountain views along the way. Once you arrive, you'll check into your hotel where you can see views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Machhapuchhare. Spend the rest of the day exploring local areas and getting a feel for the culture here.

  4. Day 4

    Tikhedhunga

    A private car drives you about 2 hours to Nayapul where your trek begins. From there you'll trek along the south bank through subtropical forests and steep cliff-carved trails. After crossing the Modi Khola River on a suspension bridge, you reach Tikhedhunga village for the night. You can push further to Ulleri by late afternoon if time allows.

  5. Day 5

    Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani

    Your trek continues uphill to Ghorepani village, which historically served as a famous stop for traders. Today it's a popular trekker spot with small shops selling local crafts and souvenirs. The village sits at higher elevation in two sections, and nights here get cold so bring warm clothes. You'll stay overnight and take in views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

    Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani

    An early start gets you to Poon Hill for sunrise views over the high Himalayas. The route goes through rhododendron forests with views stretching from Dolpo and Dhaulagiri all the way to Manaslu. After sunrise, you head back for breakfast in Ghorepani, then trek to Tadapani for your overnight stay.

  7. Day 7

    Tadapani to Chhomrong

    You'll descend through the Kimrong Khola river area and rhododendron forests heading to Chhomrong village. This Gurung settlement gives close-up views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhare. The terraced village layout shows traditional mountain architecture and way of life. You stay overnight here.

    Chhomrong to Dovan

    After breakfast, you trek from Chhomrong up Sinuwa Hill as the trail enters the upper Modi Khola valley. You'll walk through bamboo forests, passing where two small rivers meet at Dovan. The steep 5-hour trek crosses bamboo and rhododendron forest before you reach Dovan teahouse for the night.

    Trekking through the narrow Modi Khola Valley, you arrive at Machhapuchhare Base Camp in the afternoon. Climbing the mountain itself isn't permitted here. The area functions as an Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded completely by lush green mountains. You'll have the evening to relax and take in the panoramic views.

    Annapurna Base Camp

    After breakfast, the trail continues uphill for a few hours into the sanctuary toward Annapurna Base Camp. You'll spot shepherds' huts and rural mountain life along the moraine. Once you reach base camp, the rest of your day is free to rest and absorb the surrounding landscape.

    You wake early to see the sunrise over snow-capped mountains, then retrace your steps back to the Bamboo Forest area for your overnight stay. Spend the afternoon relaxing or doing activities that interest you.

    Bamboo Forest to Jhinu Danda

    Your trek today heads to Jhinu Danda, where natural hot springs sit on a small hill. The trail takes you through Khuldi Ghar to Sinuwa Hill and then down to Chhomrong before descending to Jhinu for the night. You can soak in the natural hot water pool once you arrive.

    Tolkha to Pokhara

    The trek heads to Dhampus village, known among trekkers for its views of the entire Annapurna range. From there you'll reach Bhaise Kharka and then Pathana. After descending an hour, you get to Phedi where a vehicle takes you back to Pokhara for the night.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before March 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after March 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Himalayan Planet Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 90 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
