Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll land at Suvarnabhumi International Airport and get picked up for the drive to your hotel. After that, the day is open for you to explore Bangkok on your own terms and get settled in.

Bangkok
Breakfast comes with your room, so fuel up before heading out to see Bangkok at your own pace. The Royal Palace, Sirocco Sky Bar, Khao San Road, and MBK shopping center are all popular choices if you want some direction on where to go.

Bangkok
Another free day to walk around Bangkok with plenty to see. If you'd rather have someone show you around, a German or English-speaking guide is available for an extra fee.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai
An early 7:00 am pickup gets you to Hua Lamphong train station. You'll board north through rural Thailand, watching rice fields and countryside roll by. The train pulls into Chiang Mai around 8:00 pm, and from there it's a transfer to your hotel.

Chiang Mai
Around 9:00 am your hotel picks you up for the Chiang Mai city tour. The winding mountain road takes you to Wat Doi Suthep, built in 1371, where you get views over the city and surrounding countryside. Later in the afternoon you'll visit Wat Suan Dok, Wat Phra Singh, and Wat Chedi Luang, each with their own historical character. Evening brings you back to the hotel.

Chiang Mai
You have the day to check out Chiang Mai on your own, which works best by bicycle or tuk tuk. The city's known for handicrafts and shopping if those interest you. At 6:00 pm you'll meet your guide to go over the hiking plans and figure out what to pack.

- Day 7
Chiang Mai to Mae Jok Village
Start at 9:00 am with your small group trek. You'll stop at Mae Malai market to grab food and fruit, then swim at Mok Fah waterfall before lunch at Baan Pang Lun. After lunch comes a 2-hour hike through Huay Nam Dung National Park to the Karen village of Mae Jok, where your guide talks about local plants and animals. By 4:00 pm you reach Chitchatting village to explore and meet people there. Dinner and overnight in a basic village hut with an outdoor toilet.

Karen Village to Lahu Village
This morning brings a 2-3 hour downhill trek through rice and vegetable farms to another small Karen village. Your guide makes lunch along the way. The afternoon has about 3 more hours of hiking to reach the Lahu village, home to a hill tribe group in the Chiang Mai trekking region. Dinner and overnight in basic village collective accommodation.

- Day 9
Lahu Village to Chiang Mai
Breakfast at 8:00 am, then you head out for a bamboo raft ride. You'll paddle roughly 1.5 hours down the Mae Tang River to Baan Pong Ngan, a Lahu hill tribe village, for a quick look around. The raft continues through stronger rapids to Shan village by 1:00 pm for lunch and sightseeing. Around 2:30 pm a local truck takes you back to Chiang Mai, arriving around 5:30 pm.

Chiang Mai to Koh Samui
A hotel transfer gets you to Chiang Mai airport for an Air-Asia flight via Bangkok to Surat Thani. Once you land at Surat Thani, someone picks you up and takes you to the pier. From there it's a catamaran ride through the waterways to Koh Samui and your hotel.

Koh Samui
Spend the next 7 days relaxing on Koh Samui's beaches. You'll have romantic sunrises and fresh southern Thai food with coconut milk to enjoy throughout your stay.

Koh Samui to Bangkok
After a week on Koh Samui, you'll get picked up from the hotel and driven in an air-conditioned vehicle to the airport for your Bangkok Airways flight back to Bangkok.
