- AMichalis G· March 15th, 2024The trip to the highlands and Isle of Skye was a great experience:) Paul was an exceptional guide, always telling us interesting stories and trivia at the places we visited, and the choice of the sights was also very good. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone visiting Scotland who wants to spend a few days outside the bigger cities, and enjoy an excursion in a completely different landscape.Show moreTrip date: March 2024Review collected by Highland Explorer Tours
- ALisa F· March 16th, 2024We went on the winter version of this trip. Paul was an excellent driver and guide! We made lots of stops and drove past even more places - he had stories for them all and more. It was a great way to get a taste of the Scotland from Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye and make plans to come back again and spend more time in the places you liked. There are no ‘experiences’ on this one because of the time of year and it being only 3 days. I would do a 4 or 5 day next time but if you only have 3 days this is a great option! I’d recommend sitting on the right side of the bus if you can - it seems like more things to see are on that side (at least for the 3-day winter trip).Show moreTrip date: March 2024Review collected by Highland Explorer Tours
- A430leahl· March 25th, 2024We took the three-day Isle of Skye and Highlands tour in mid-March 2024. We left on a Saturday morning and returned Monday evening. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Our tour guides, Graham, Dusty, Heidi, Connor, and Martin were friendly, helpful, and great company. They answered questions and were fun to visit with. The bus ride was long but comfortable. We stopped frequently for sightseeing and restroom breaks. The inn was small but cozy and charming. You have the option of purchasing dinner each evening and breakfast is included. The breakfast was cooked to order and included many great choices. I highly recommend this tour as a way to see the highlands and many famous sites along the way.Show moreTrip date: March 2024Review collected by Highland Explorer Tours
- AElena Bubeeva· March 29th, 2024From the moment we departed Edinburgh, it was clear that this would be an adventure to remember. Louise's enthusiasm was infectious, setting the tone for the entire trip. Her local knowledge and various tales she told us along the way were so appreciated, especially for someone coming from a very different country. Louise‘s passion for Scotland was evident in every word. Her insider knowledge led us to hidden viewpoints and secret spots that we never would have discovered on our own. We even learnt some Celtic along the way! The bus journey itself was comfortable and smooth, thanks to Louise's fantastic driving skills. We felt safe and relaxed as we wound our way through the diverse landscapes. One of other highlights of the tour was the traditional Scottish music that accompanied us along the way. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough for anyone looking to experience the magic of Scotland in the company of a passionate guide.Show moreTrip date: March 2024Review collected by Highland Explorer Tours
- ABeth S· March 29th, 2024For our 3-day trip to Skye and the Highlands, we were really lucky to have not one, not two, but six guides! Our primary guide was Tim and there were five trainees, all at different stages. It was so much fun to hear stories from each of them with their respective styles. What they all have in common is a love for Scotland that came through in their guiding and in the general banter. Charlie, your jokes and enthusiasm made for such a fun time together, you clearly love spending time with us travelers and of course we will never forget dunking our faces into freezing water with you--you are a memory-maker! (And indeed, this is Sasha's top highlight of our entire trip!) Connor, you have the perfect guide voice and storytelling rhythm. Heidi--same!--you are a natural storyteller and thanks for the tip about Harry Styles' video made on the Isle of Skye. Noah, your love of sharing your country, wearing of a kilt and humoring my Outlander references were all very appreciated. Tim, you're like the wise old man of the bunch (without actually being old) and all around a cool human being. Thanks for creating such a memorable trip to a beautiful land with a personal, insider's touch. You made the fairies, giants and kelpies of lore come alive for us. We will be back and excited to travel with you again!Show moreTrip date: March 2024Review collected by Highland Explorer Tours
- AAna Paula L· March 31st, 2024Cliff was an amazing tour guide. Gave us lots of historical facts and information, good recommendations, the best jokes and the best music for our “pop group in the back”. Definitely an amazing experience to get to see the picturesque highlands and some of its historic and natural landmarks. You also get to meet amazing people along the way if you’re a solo traveler.Show moreTrip date: March 2024Review collected by Highland Explorer Tours
- ACate S· June 2nd, 2024I had an absolutely amazing time on the tour! It was a great route around Scotland to some beautiful and historic places. - AJulia C· June 3rd, 2024Martin was wonderful, informative, and friendly. The tour was packed with stops but didn’t feel overwhelming - the right amount of time at each location. Not “lecture-style” but rather guiding us with context to a cool spot and then letting us adventure (apart from a few guided tours at the whisky distillery and rewilding center). Loved it!Show moreTrip date: June 2024Review collected by Highland Explorer Tours
