Itinerary
- Day 1
Lao Cai/Sapa to Bac Ha
You'll get picked up early from either Lao Cai train station or Sapa town, then head to Bac Ha for one of the ethnic minority markets (timing depends on what day of the week you're traveling). Spend time browsing the market where local vendors sell everything from produce to animals, grab brunch there, and then trek through the terraced rice fields to reach a Dzao family homestay where you'll have dinner and stay the night.

- Day 2
Bac Ha
Start with breakfast at the homestay, then walk through local trails in areas most tourists don't reach, meeting Red Dao or Black H'mong people along the way. You'll trek roughly 12-15km from Ta Giang Pho to Lay Thuy Ngai, passing through wild landscapes and rice terraces the whole time. After the trek, you'll board a boat heading down the Chay river with a picnic lunch on the water, then drive to Na Hoi village for dinner and another overnight stay.

Bac Ha to Hanoi
After breakfast at the homestay, you'll check out the King's Cat House, also called King Hoang A Tuong, which is a large structure built by the French and Chinese back in 1920. The building mixes European and Oriental design in a way you don't see often. Grab lunch at a local restaurant afterward, then drive back to Hanoi.
