Los Angeles
You'll have the full day to settle in and check out Los Angeles at your own pace, or simply relax at your hotel if you prefer. By evening, you'll meet up with your group and tour leader for an informal welcome gathering.

Los Angeles to Phoenix
Head out from Los Angeles in the morning and you'll drive through thousands of wind turbines as you enter Palm Springs, sitting at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains. After seeing the famous golf courses that attract Hollywood visitors during winter, you'll continue through Indio and the Coachella Valley before checking into your Phoenix hotel by late afternoon.

Phoenix to Grand Canyon
Start the day with a drive through the Sonoran Desert, known for its diverse plant and animal life. Later, you'll reach Sedona to see the red-rock formations like Cathedral Rock and Coffee Pot, then pass through Oak Creek Canyon. The afternoon brings you to the Grand Canyon where you'll stand at the rim and take in the Colorado River carved through the mile-deep gorges and towering rock formations.

Grand Canyon to Page
You'll travel inland to the Navajo Indian Reservation, stopping at Cameron trading post along the way. From there, head toward Monument Valley through the Painted Desert, where you'll see sandstone buttes up to 300 meters high scattered across the landscape. You'll arrive in Page, Arizona by late afternoon, positioned on a mesa overlooking the Colorado River.

Page to Bryce Canyon
Start by visiting Glen Canyon Dam, the second highest concrete-arch dam in the country, and check out the views of Lake Powell with its red-rock walls and blue water. Continue into Utah and pass through Kanab, then head to Bryce Canyon to see the colorful sandstone spires and pinnacles known as hoodoos. Depending on weather, you might get clear night skies for stargazing before settling in for the evening.

Bryce Canyon to Las Vegas
Begin at Zion National Park where massive rock formations tower above you after millions of years of erosion by wind and the Virgin River. In the afternoon, the landscape and pace shift completely as you drive to Las Vegas. You'll have the evening to explore the Strip, catch a show, or grab dinner at one of the many restaurants available.

Las Vegas
The entire day is yours to spend however you like in Las Vegas. Shop at designer outlet stores or browse the Strip, try the casinos if that interests you, attend a show, or simply walk around and soak in the atmosphere. There's something for all tastes here, from entertainment to dining to people watching.

Las Vegas to Mammoth Lakes
Leave Las Vegas behind and head toward Death Valley. You'll stop at the iconic Las Vegas Sign for photos, then continue to Zabriskie Point and Furnace Creek Ranch to check out the Visitors Center. After crossing through the valley, you'll climb into the Sierra Nevada Mountains and arrive in Mammoth Lakes, a mountain town known for skiing and outdoor activities.

Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite to Modesto
Travel through Tioga Pass (weather permitting) into Yosemite National Park. Once there, you'll see the valley floor with its giant sequoia trees, granite formations like Half Dome and El Capitan, and waterfalls including Bridal Falls and Yosemite Falls. Later, you'll head to Modesto for the night.

Modesto to San Francisco
Depart early and drive to San Francisco. When you arrive, you'll join your tour leader for a guided tour to get oriented with major landmarks. After that, the afternoon is free for you to walk around and find your own way through this hilly city at your own pace.

San Francisco
Check out of your hotel by 11:00 am and say goodbye to the people you've traveled with over the past two weeks. Your tour ends here in San Francisco.
