  • Splendors of the West reviewer 1
    · August 22nd, 2023
The locations and itinerary were all fine. However, we were very disappointed due to the fact that the Splendors of the West tour we did was and is still currently advertised as 21 to 59. My wife and I are mid 40, s and don't have kids, so we specifically picked this one because of the advertised age range. We much prefer to not travel with kids and were hoping for a bit of a social experience with other guest our age. However, there was kids on our tour and also many in their late 70tys and above... So just rember if picking this tour with the age range in mind, they just let anyone on,

May I check if the information of hotel to check in on first day will be provided before first day arrival? If my flight will only arrive Los Angeles at 1955 hrs, so by the time I reach the hotel would be estimated at night. I might have issue to meet the tour manager on first day. Any way that they will contact me for the details or briefing be provided?

    • Travel TalkOperatorWritten July 2025

Yes, the hotel details for your first night will be provided to you in advance of your departure. Please let us know your departure date, and we will check the information for your specific booking. Could you please confirm if an exception can be made to allow a 72-year-old traveler to join this adventure?

    • Travel TalkOperatorWritten August 2024

We would like to clarify that all ages are welcome to join our amazing trips! While we don't have strict age restrictions, we do provide guidelines to ensure everyone's comfort. Passengers that falls out of this age group (18-59) and traveling alone may find it beneficial to consider booking a private room. For this reason we request to add a singe supplement. This enhances comfort throughout the tour, it is also mandatory for our USA tours. The additional cost of the single supplement is 724 USD.

I can pay US Dollar 150 immediately for booking ... I can pay the rest end of September 2024 or 1st Oct, (instead of 28 August ) as I am going to get my US visa around 25 September.2024.. Is this possible/acceptable to you?

    Tour Details
    • Travel TalkOperatorWritten July 2024

Unfortunately, our policy requires full payment 60 days prior to the tour start date to finalize arrangements with our local team in the USA. We are unable to hold bookings without receiving full payment by August 28th as per our terms and conditions. We understand the importance of visa approval timing but regret that we cannot delay payment to accommodate this. Additionally, for our USA tours, a single supplement is mandatory, and we've sent an email requesting confirmation.
