Itinerary
- Day 1
Varanasi to Prayagraj
Start early from Varanasi and drive roughly 120 kilometers to Prayagraj through rural Uttar Pradesh, which takes about two and a half hours. Once you arrive, head to Anand Bhavan museum to learn about the Nehru family's involvement in India's independence movement. After that, walk through Khusro Bagh to see the Mughal gardens and mausoleums scattered across the grounds. You'll pass by the impressive Allahabad High Court as you move through the city. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant, then spend time exploring Allahabad Fort, which Emperor Akbar built centuries ago. Before heading back to Varanasi, take a boat ride on the Triveni Sangam where three rivers meet, which holds spiritual significance for many visitors. The drive back takes you through the same rural landscape as the morning, arriving back in Varanasi by evening.
