3 Days in India's Golden Triangle, incl. Delhi and Agra
The route covers Delhi's monuments, Agra's Taj Mahal at sunrise, and Jaipur's Amber Fort. Marvel at 3 UNESCO sites including Fatehpur Sikri, with 2 nights in deluxe hotels, breakfast included, and private AC transport throughout.
- Day 1
Delhi to Agra
Begin your morning in Delhi with some sightseeing. Stop at India Gate and see the President's House and Parliament building. Visit Humayun's Tomb, which shows the architectural style that influenced the Taj Mahal. Take the 3-hour drive to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway around noon. A traveler tip: "Ask your driver to stop at the midway point for fresh samosas and masala chai - it breaks up the journey perfectly."
- Day 2
Agra to Jaipur
Get up early (5:30 AM) to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise. You'll get the best photos in the morning light and won't have to deal with big crowds. After you eat breakfast, visit Agra Fort to learn about the powerful Mughal Empire. On your way to Jaipur, make time to see Fatehpur Sikri, a city that was left behind. As one visitor shared: "Our guide explained how water scarcity forced an entire imperial city to be abandoned - it really brings history alive."
- Day 3
Jaipur to Delhi
Start your day at Amber Fort by 8:30 AM before it gets busy and hot. You can take an elephant ride up to the fort but book it ahead of time. Spend time at the City Palace and visit Jantar Mantar, an old observatory with fascinating instruments. A recent reviewer advised: "The steps at Amber Fort can be slippery - wear comfortable shoes with good grip, especially during monsoon season."
3 Day India's Golden Triangle Itinerary, incl. Delhi and Agra
A fast-paced three-day adventure: Day 1 Delhi to Agra, Day 2 Taj Mahal sunrise and Jaipur transfer, Day 3 Amber Fort and Jantar Mantar before Delhi return. The 650km journey connects 3 cities with UNESCO World Heritage sites.
- Day 1
Delhi to Agra
Leave Delhi early to avoid morning traffic jams. Visit Humayun's Tomb before 9 AM to get the best photos and smaller crowds. One traveler noted: "Getting to see the monuments without massive crowds in the early morning was incredible." Next stop is India Gate before starting your 3-4 hour drive to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway. Pack water and snacks since rest stops are limited. It's a good idea to download offline maps because mobile coverage isn't reliable.
- Day 2
Agra to Jaipur
Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise (opens 6 AM but closed Fridays). Get there 30 minutes early to clear security lines that grow very long later. A visitor shared: "The morning mist creates an ethereal atmosphere around the Taj. Definitely worth the early wake-up." After breakfast head to Agra Fort while temperatures are still cool. Start the 5-hour drive to Jaipur after lunch to reach the Pink City before dark. The road can be rough so bring motion sickness medication if needed.
- Day 3
Jaipur to Delhi
Begin at Amber Fort at 8 AM when it opens. You can walk up (15-20 minutes) or take a jeep. Wear shoes with good grip since the fort's steps can be slippery. Next visit Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar before it gets too hot. One traveler suggests: "Ask your guide to explain the astronomical instruments at Jantar Mantar - it's fascinating once you understand how they work." Leave for Delhi by 2 PM to avoid night driving. Traffic getting into Delhi can be heavy so schedule late evening flights.
3 Day India's Golden Triangle Itinerary, incl. Delhi and Agra
A grand tour covering 600km across Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur awaits. The itinerary features 8 UNESCO sites including Qutub Minar, Taj Mahal, and Amber Fort, with expert guides and stays at 4-star hotels throughout.
- Day 1
Delhi Exploration
Start early in Delhi to explore both the old and new sections of the city. Visit Jama Masjid, India's biggest mosque, then walk through the bustling spice markets of Chandni Chowk. Get to Qutub Minar before 10 AM to avoid crowds and the midday heat. Spend your afternoon at Humayun's Tomb and India Gate. A recent visitor noted: "The historical significance of each site was impressive, especially the intricate architecture of the Red Fort. Our guide's knowledge made the history come alive."
- Day 2
Agra and the Taj Mahal
Leave Delhi early for the 4-hour trip to Agra. The best time to see the Taj Mahal is at sunrise when crowds are thin and the light is perfect. Remember to bring a shawl for the cool morning air and wear shoes you can easily take off at the entrance. After the Taj, visit Agra Fort and stop at Fatehpur Sikri on your way to Jaipur. One traveler shared: "Witnessing the Taj Mahal at sunrise was unforgettable - the soft light cast a magical glow over the white marble."
- Day 3
Jaipur's Royal Heritage
Head to Amber Fort by 8:30 AM to beat the lines. Spend your morning exploring the City Palace complex and Hawa Mahal. Use your afternoon to see the Jantar Mantar observatory and browse the local bazaars. "Don't miss the local handicraft shops in the old city, but be prepared to negotiate prices," suggests one visitor. Your journey ends with an evening drive back to Delhi.
What people love about 3-day India tours
- Golden Triangle Tour - 3 Days
It was my first time in India, traveling solo and I was afraid, so I contacted Tak Destination tours for showing me around, and that was a good choise, the guide Asif, is a young men very opened to show you everything around, beyond the touristic places, he explains all the details of the heritage, take care of you during the tour, and after that he give you tips, so it totally worth it !!! Thanks for an awesome experience and for the first approach to India!!!
- Delhi Taj Mahal And Jaipur Pink City 3 Days
Amazing sights and a good experience, but not exactly as advertised. I booked a group tour, however it ended up (for reasons unknown to me) that I had a private tour. May sound like an upgrade, but as a woman traveling solo it was not preference. Tour guides were locals and very friendly, with great English skills. Although be prepared to be shown into a couple showrooms where you will have to be very insistent if you don't wish to buy anything. Very calm and comfortable with my driver also. Communication and organisation with the tour company was quite poor however. I was not informed that the group tour I booked had become a private tour or what my accommodation would be until I prompted the company a couple before departure. I also was not picked up or dropped of at my accommodation in Noida despite that being offered online.
- From Delhi: Private 3-Days Golden Triangle Tour with Hotels
It was an amazing recommendation from one of my friends to take a trip from GTTI (Golden Triangle Tours Of India). We contacted this operator and got an instant response which impressed us. Me and my wife had a big concern to choose the right operator for our very first trip to India but we got the best one. We booked the trip and honestly speaking the operator specifically kept in touch with us during our entire trip just to check whether everything is going in a right way or not. Hotels were fine, your guides was amazing , car was cleaned and well maintained, driver drive us everywhere safely. We felt very in the hand of Golden Triangle Tours Of India. We highly recommend this operator for any kind of India trip.
