- DCDustin· August 17th, 2025Extremely disappointed. Optional excursions as sold to us by tour guide, Steen, was completely misrepresented and overpriced. When I tried speaking to Steen about my concerns I was talked down to in a demeaning and patronizing manner. This prompted me to cancel all remaining excursions as I cannot guarantee they will be anything as described by Steen. So upset by this tour.Show moreCostsaver commented on this reviewThank you for choosing to travel with us and for sharing your feedback. Asked on September 14th, 2024I didn't find all off the extra excursions available. When we are on our own in Dublin will we be able to visit the Leprechaun museum, Kilmainham Gaol Museum? When it says we will see something (ie Christ Church Cathedral) do we actually stop and have time to look around, or is it from the coach? What's the difference, between view, see, and visit? Will we have a chance to see the sheep dogs work, the highland cows, Blarney Castle? Is there an option to cruise Loch Ness and view the Urquhart Castle? Is the Glasgow Necrapolis something we can view on our own? We like the cities and countries on this tour, just not clear what Places we can see on our own or as a choice experience. We are definitely doing a tour in 2025.
- CostsaverOperator•Written September 2024
Regrettably, none of the activities and places you mentioned are included in this trip. However, the good news is that you can arrange your own preferred activities and visit the places you want during your free time at your own expense. Just be sure to communicate your plans with the travel director on the tour. Please see below the difference between view, see, and visit. See – Observe sights while passing by on your coach, cruise or train. View – A brief stop to enjoy the sights and take some photos. Visit – A stop with time to enjoy a specific site.

Asked on July 26th, 2024I'm shopping for a UK trip for summer 2025 and this tour looks promising. I would like to clearly understand which castles this tour group enters, not just outside but into the interior rooms to tour.
- CostsaverOperator•Written July 2024
Upon checking, this tour includes the following sightseeing experiences: Edinburgh: Sightseeing includes Princes Street, the Royal Mile, and Edinburgh Castle. Kilkenny: View Kilkenny Castle and gardens. Windsor: View the Royal Castle in Windsor. Cardiff: See the Principality Stadium and view Cardiff Castle. Please note that while the tour includes viewing these castles and their surroundings, it does not include entering the interior rooms for tours inside the castles.

Asked on July 15th, 2024I want to book two tours: Britain and Ireland Delight for 8 or 10 days and London to Rome for 10 days. I can't find tour dates that go back to back so is this possible?
- CostsaverOperator•Written July 2024
Yes, it's possible to book a multi-trip. What will happen is that we will create one booking with two tours on the operator's end. We suggest doing the Britain and Ireland Delight tour first departing 27-Sep-2024 that will end in 06-Oct-2024. After that book the London to Rome Highlights departing 11-Oct-2024. The only thing was you will have 5 days idle in between tours.

Donald
Traveler•Written July 2024I would not like to spend 5 idle days in London. It's actually the last place I'd like to spend 5 days in, and I'd like no idle days if possible - are there other travel days or trips you suggest that won't create that much downtime?
- CostsaverOperator•Written July 2024
We have found some tour options that visit majority of your desired places: Grand European (22 Days) and Britain and Ireland Grandeur Reverse (20 Days).
- D
Donald
Traveler•Written July 2024That is not going to be helpful. We'd be gone 42 days! There has GOT to be two tours, one of Scotland/Ireland, and one of France/Italy that have closer tour dates than that!
- CostsaverOperator•Written July 2024
We have found two potential trip combinations: Option 1 (17 days) with Britain and Ireland Delight and Jewels of Italy, and Option 2 (25 days) with European Adventures and Britain and Ireland Delight.
