Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll get picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel in Cairo. Check-in happens after 2:00 PM, so you'll have the rest of the day to walk around the city on your own and get a feel for things.

- Day 2
Cairo
Start with breakfast, then meet your Egyptologist guide at the Egyptian Museum to see the extensive collection of artifacts. After lunch along the Nile River, head to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. You'll have time to explore, and there's the option to go inside one of the pyramids if you'd like. Before heading back to the hotel, stop at a perfume factory and traditional papyrus institute for shopping.

- Day 3
Cairo to Luxor
Breakfast comes at 8:00 AM before your guide picks you up to head out to Saqqara necropolis, where you'll see the Step Pyramid and Pyramid of King Teti. From there, travel to Dahshur to check out the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid. Grab lunch at a local restaurant, then take a one-hour guided tour of Memphis' open-air museum. By evening, board a sleeper train heading to Luxor (the 10-hour journey includes dinner and breakfast on board).

- Day 4
Luxor
Your guide meets you at Luxor Train Station and takes you to explore the west bank, known as the City of the Dead. You'll visit the Valley of Kings with its 63 tombs, then see the Hatshepsut Temple and the Memnon Statues. Cross over the Nile to the east bank for lunch at a local restaurant, then head to the Karnak Temples, the largest ancient temple complex in Egypt. Later, return to Luxor train station for the train back to Cairo.

- Day 5
Cairo to Alexandria to Cairo
Your guide meets you at Giza train station for a trip to Alexandria. You'll see Pompey's Pillar, a 25-meter red Aswan granite column dating to the 3rd century, then tour the Qayetbay Citadel located at the harbor entrance. After that, explore the Catacombs, the largest Roman cemetery with three levels carved into rock. Head back to your Cairo hotel by evening.

- Day 6
Cairo
Meet your guide in the hotel lobby for a day exploring Old Islamic and Coptic Cairo. Walk through ancient streets and visit the Hanging Church, which sits above a gatehouse of Babylon Fortress. Tour the Citadel of Saladin, a fortification in the city. Stop for lunch, then walk through Khan El Khalili Street, a historic market with shops and vendors. Return to your hotel afterward.
