Itinerary
- Day 1
Cluj-Napoca to Sibiu
Your guide picks you up at 09:00 in Cluj-Napoca and you'll drive south through Transylvania to see two major fortresses. Alba Carolina comes first, an 18th-century fortress with its distinctive brick and stone walls that really show its age in the best way. After that, you head to Corvin Castle, a Gothic structure with ornate halls and marble decorations throughout. By late afternoon you'll arrive in Sibiu, a well-preserved medieval city where your guide takes you through the Main Squares, past the Metropolitan Cathedral, and across the Bridge of Lies. You'll check in and have time to settle in before evening.

- Day 2
Sibiu to Cluj-Napoca
Your guide picks you up from your Sibiu hotel and drives to Biertan Fortified Church, a double-walled fortress sitting on a hilltop with a unique 15-bolt locking system. The main stop is Sighisoara, a UNESCO-listed medieval fortress and the only inhabited citadel of its type, known as the birthplace of Vlad Tepes. You'll walk the winding cobblestone streets and climb to the Clock Tower for views over the area, then check out its medieval weapons museum. After that, you climb 300 wooden steps up to the 14th-century Church-on-the-Hill. Later, your guide drives you back to Cluj-Napoca for drop-off at the airport, hotel, or train station.
