Itinerary
- Day 1
Aswan
You'll meet your Egyptologist guide at your Aswan hotel and head to the Aswan High Dam for a tour. From there, it's a motor boat ride out to Philae Island where you'll explore the temples on the grounds. After that, you'll board your 5-star Nile cruise and settle in on the sun deck with tea, taking in the river views while your guide shares information about Nubian and ancient Egyptian cultures.

Aswan to Edfu
There's an optional early morning tour to Abu Simbel if you're interested, with a pickup around 4:30 AM and return by lunch time. You'll visit the rock-cut temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari. Once you're back on the cruise, you'll have free time as the ship sails along the Nile. Later you'll stop to tour the Temple of Kom Ombo with your guide, and then continue sailing toward Edfu for the night.

Edfu to Luxor
Breakfast starts at 6:00 AM, and then at 7:00 AM you'll head out by horse carriage with your guide to see the Edfu Temple dedicated to Horus. You'll be back around 9:30 AM. There's free time while the cruise sails along the Nile. After arriving in Luxor after noon, you'll visit the Karnak Temple and then tour the smaller Luxor Temple before evening.

Luxor
You'll have breakfast around 7:00 AM, and then meet your guide at 8:00 AM to explore the west bank of Luxor. You'll see the Valley of the Kings where pharaohs and nobles were buried in cliff tombs, and view the colossi of Memnon. Next comes a tour of the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After that, you'll return to the cruise, collect your luggage, and head to the airport or train station to complete your trip.
