  1. Days 1 - 2

    Bako National Park

    A 20-minute boat ride takes you to Bako Peninsula where you'll spend the day trekking through rainforest. Keep your eyes open for proboscis monkeys, wild boars, exotic birds, and snakes along the way. Lunch is provided at the park canteen so you'll have energy for the afternoon.

  2. Day 3

    Beliong Island and Kampung Hilir Maludam

    You'll drive along Sarawak's coastal route, stopping at a Chinese Temple and Malay fishing villages. From there, take a sampan boat across the Samarahan River to Beliong Island to see local communities. After crossing by bridge and car ferry to Kampung Hilir Maludam, you'll join a Malay traditional baking class and have dinner with your local host family.

    Maludam National Park and Ulu Sarikei Longhouse

    After breakfast, a 2-hour boat ride takes you to Maludam National Park to spot proboscis monkeys and Red Banded Langurs. Then you'll travel overland for 3 hours to Ulu Sarikei Longhouse, participating in farm activities like rubber tapping and pepper processing. A hike to a waterfall follows, and you'll spend the night in simple longhouse accommodation.

    Sibu

    You'll drive to Sibu and sample local street food at a hawker center. The Sibu Heritage Trail takes you through the bustling market, one of Malaysia's largest. A leisurely walk along the esplanade by the Rajang River (one of Borneo's longest) ends the day before you settle into your hotel.

    You'll visit a local sago processing center to see how sago pearls are made the traditional way. At the bustling fish market, watch how fishmongers prepare umai (raw fish). The day includes cottage industries for tebaloi (sago biscuit) making, Lamin Dana Handicraft Center, plus batik printing and nipah leaves craft instruction.

After an early lunch, you'll transfer to Mukah airport for a domestic flight to Miri and enjoy a city tour. Your afternoon is free to relax or walk to Coco Cabana waterfront to catch the sunset.

    A domestic flight from Miri takes you to Mulu National Park. You'll explore Sarawak Chamber (the world's largest natural cave chamber) and watch the pre-dawn bat flights. Deer Cave and Clearwater Cave follow, then a picnic lunch at Clearwater summer huts wraps up this cave exploration day.

      April is a good month to travel in Borneo Sarawak. It is just over the monsoon season that ends in March every year, and it is the shoulder period before the summer traveling season.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
