- DSDenis· July 17th, 2025our hiking trip with Arcitc Adventures was excellent, the view was fabulous. if something i hope it should be better, I hoped the lunch could have more options. but I do understand the huts are remote.Show moreTrip date: June 2025
- Tom· July 7th, 2025Sika was a really amazing guide — loved her country, loved sharing how beautiful the trails are, and went above and beyond in making sure everyone was safe throughout. Her preparation of dinner was also incredibly thoughtful. Highly recommend the trek and 6-day tour. -TomShow moreTrip date: June 2025
- UUrsulaHadley· September 15th, 2024Hired a raincoat but leaked quite bad , especially in front, when it was rain. Light showers it was ok. Tour guide " Deyan" was supporting and organized throughout hike. Felt safe and potential risks were managed well under his guidance.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
- Trina· September 20th, 2023Landscape and scenery were beautiful. With 16 people this tour should have had two guides — there was a lot of variation in abilities which led to lots of stopping and waiting for the faster folks.Show moreTrip date: September 2023
- ESEmilia· August 31st, 2023I did this tour last July and it was fantastic. Everything was as described in the brochure. The only objection would be that the group was quite large, 16 plus the guide. At times it was challenging to fit all at the tables provided in the huts. My shout goes to the guide Indra. He is very knowledgeable very kind, trying to help everybody and accomodate to different level of performance in the group. Indra was always happy, cooking great meals and making the best of our time in Iceland.Show moreTrip date: July 2023
- STStephen· August 15th, 2023I had a great time on this tour. The pre-trip prep instructions were excellent, so I did not come ill-prepared. Deyan, our guide, spoke excellent English and clearly knew what he was doing, and was very friendly with us. Daily hikes were manageable for most, although that 25km day would be a bit much for some. Accomodations were spartan but spotless. The views are amazing. Would highly recommend this tour!Show moreTrip date: August 2023
- DWDavid· September 21st, 2022I recently did the Laugavegur Trek with a couple of days tagged on at the end for day hikes (started on the 8th Sept 2022, duration six days). The tour provider was Arctic Adventures. This trek was really excellent! I came back home feeling I’d had a massive adventure and was ready for more! I had a great group of twelve people from various countries and age groups that included eight solo travellers like me. Our guide (Hjalti Björnsson) really looked after us all and was a great cook! He also gave us some great insights in to the scenery, nature, culture and history of Iceland. I can’t recommend him highly enough. The landscapes in Iceland are otherworldly magical and heartbreakingly beautiful. The light and shadow play on the volcanic landscapes which, due to the vegetation that clings to the rocks, were a multitude of colours. The air was so fresh and for a while I felt totally at peace. I could have just sat and watched the views for a year! There is nowhere else like this place, at least not in Europe and not that I’ve seen. I was a bit sad when the trek ended. Thank you Arctic Adventures and Hjalti Björnsson!!Show moreArctic Adventures commented on this reviewDear David, Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave us this wonderful review. - EHEva· August 5th, 2022Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishThe group could not eat together in Landmannalaugar (not enough seating), this was not beneficial for getting to know each other and getting together and communicating/getting information together. The lunch break in front of the hut Hrafntinnusker, which was closed at noon, was cold, uncomfortable (on the floor, as not enough benches) and smelly, as it was only sheltered from the wind next to the toilets. Both huts not suitable for 16-participants. For this scenic trip you can overlook this, but group size and seating do not fit here (team building difficult).Show moreArctic Adventures commented on this reviewDear Eva, Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave us a great review. It’s wonderful to know that the tour went smoothly for you. It means the world to us that you have chosen to book an experience with our team. Warm wishes from Iceland.Trip date: July 2022

Asked on August 10th, 2025We have a client interested in a 5-day trek on the Laugavegur trail in Iceland for a group of 4 travelers in July 2026. They would require luggage transfer and food included in the package. They would like to be sleeping in huts.
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025
We do not provide any self-guided trekking tours in Laugavegur, due to safety concerns. We can only offer group or private tours in this area.

Asked on December 9th, 2024is it the classic Laugavegur trail, is accommodation in huts and the cost? Also is there pick up from the airport to the starting point?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written December 2024
The Laugavegur Trek with Fimmvörðuhálss is a classic 6-day hiking adventure in Iceland. Participants stay in mountain huts along the trail. These huts are shared dormitory-style accommodations with basic facilities, including communal kitchens and bathrooms. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag. Private rooms are not available. The tour does not include a direct airport pickup. However, pickups are available from designated locations in Reykjavík. From the airport, you can take a shuttle to Reykjavík and join the group at specified locations like City Hall or Reykjavík Campsite.

Traveler•Written November 2024do we still need to bring a sleeping bag? and do we need to bring food or food will be provided and included in the tour
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written November 2024
Yes, you will need to bring a sleeping bag for your hut stay. If you prefer not to bring your own, we offer sleeping bag rentals. All meals are provided and included in the tour package, so there's no need to bring your own food.

Traveler•Written December 2024does it mean that we can bring a daypack and a carry-on sized or more with us and leave the bigger one for transportting to the next hut while just carry the daypack with us? what capacity of the daypack you would recommend if that's the case. i have a osprey 36L but not sure if it is too big?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written December 2024
With the tour you've booked, luggage transport is included, which means you can bring a larger bag to be transported between huts. During the trek, you'll only need to carry a daypack with essentials for the day. We recommend a daypack in the range of 25–40 liters. Your Osprey 36L is a great choice.
