Arrival at Kilimanjaro
A Vimat Safaris representative will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer you to Lake Duluti Serena hotel. The afternoon and evening are free, so you can take a swim in the pool, walk around Arusha on your own, or arrange an optional tour to nearby spots if you're interested.

Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you'll head west across the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Manyara National Park with a packed lunch included. The day involves a full game drive through the park's different landscapes, jungle, swamp, and open savanna. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, and the over 400 bird species found throughout the area.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti
You'll drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the crater rim and into the Western Highlands, then enter Serengeti National Park via Naabi Hill Gate. The schedule is flexible, so you can start with an early sunrise game drive or leave camp later with a picnic lunch. The focus for game viewing is the Central Serengeti, which has the highest concentration of lions in Tanzania.

Serengeti National Park
Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti with a picnic lunch. The landscape changes as you move around, from short and long grass plains in the south to acacia savannah in the middle, wooded areas toward the north, and extensive woodlands to the west. You'll travel through Seronera Valley, the Western Corridor, and northern Serengeti to see as much wildlife as possible.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
An early morning game drive happens at the lodge before you head back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There's an option to stop at Olduvai Gorge Museum, where Mary Leakey found a 1.75 million-year-old skull fragment in 1959. After that, you'll drive through the Western Highlands to reach your lodge on the crater's western side for tomorrow's activities.

Landmarks Olduvai Gorge - Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater
You'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of exploration in this eighth natural wonder. The crater is over 19 kilometers across and holds more than 30,000 animals including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, and rare black rhinos. During the day you'll see acacia forests, swamps full of hippos, and open grasslands before returning to the lodge by evening.

Return to Arusha
After a relaxed breakfast, you'll drive back to Arusha with enough time to catch your onward flight or arrange your drop-off. Depending on when your flight leaves, you might have time for a hot lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge or you can take a packed lunch instead. Extra accommodation can be booked if needed for an additional fee.
